Media Player 11 stopped working
Windows Media Player 11 for Vista stopped working. Just purchased this
computer on Saturday...am pretty upset over this! When trying to play any
video or audio file it tells me it has encountered a problem. Web help just
gives me an error message COOD11B1 but offers no real solution. How can I
fix this? Any way to reinstall it?

insert any DVD movie...system CRASHES!!
when i insert a dvd movie the blue screen pops up saying something like
"Error....trying to run a thread that is not owned." then my system
crashes.??? i'm no computer guru so i have no idea. anyone? all my drivers

Disappearing Photos
I am now using Windows Vista Home Premium. I also upgraded my Nero to
Version 7. After I save (publish) my WMM slideshow video to my computer as a
DV-AVI file and import it into Nero to complete my movie, only the audio
plays back. Is there an adjustment I need to do in WMM or in Nero so that
the audio and video will import into my Nero? Thanks,

windows 2000 picture
I know this is not a real important question and I may be in the wrong group,

What changes in files during a Vista upgrade to cause iTunes probl
I had 15GB of iTunes compatible videos which worked great under XP 64-Bit. I
did an express upgrade and now iTunes reports that the same un-touched files
are no longer compatible.
When I click on the video file in window explorer, iTunes give error If I go

Capturing video from a camcorder
I have a Sony HDD camcorder that comes with Imagemixer software. It worked OK
on XP but not on my new Vista PC. The CD won't load and the PC doesn't
recognise the camcorder when connected. Sony tell me that Vista doesn't
support USB streaming which sounds like a dead end. I can't believe the
latest generation OS can't cope with modern video capture processes. Can

Error Message in movie maker
I keep getting an error message in movie maker when i try and open a project
file that i've already burned to a dvd, but did not SAVE it in DVD Maker, i
figured i could just open it up again the movie maker...however i keep
getting this message the file cannot be opened because it is not a valid
windows movie maker project file...

how do i save a dvd to my hard drive?
i have a dvd that is not "protected" that i would like to save to my hard
drive. I tried the drag to file thing.. didn't work.. i tried a third party
software.. claims it can't read disk. the dvd plays fine in wmp and wmc so
can someone please tell me how.. i can't seem to figure it out.....

DVD Maker sound & picture out of snyc
I don't know if anyone else had had this problem, but I somewhat successfully
burned movies to DVD using the Windows DVD Maker. Only problem is the sound
and picture are out of sync. I hear the sound first, then the picture to
match is about 2-3 seconds delayed. Anyone else had and/or solved this issue?
I also tried to burn the same files using Roxio and the DVD came out fine.

So I changed a dest. folder name when uploading pics...
2 months ago, and now every time I upload my pictures onto my computer, it
uses that same folder name/path to drop the pictures into.
Situation:
I plug in camera. Turn it on. Window pops up asking me if I want to view

iTunes burning problems
After installing iTunes and doing all the encessary with music etc I tried to
burn a CD only to have iTunes tell me:
Disc burner or software not found...
Now, on my old XP install it worked fine and never gave me this message. My
question is twofold:
1 - Does iTunes require external drivers or burning software (such as Nero)
to burn discs? I didn't think it did as my old XP install ...

Vista Media Centre stand by
Hi guys I am wondering if this is a problem with my PC or vista in general?
When I put Vista Media Centre in to stand by with the button on the remote
and resume it, when I go to play a video the sound is not there and the
picture is really jerky. Is this a problem with the vista's decoders?

dowload music to computer, then bring music to powerpoint file to
two songs were downloaded to library but apparently disappeared. Want to
