Music Folder
Please can anyone tell me why I have number appearing before the record
title, i.e. in the 'Name' column the records appear as '01 All Night Long',
01 Blue Monday, 01 Feeling Good' etc. There are 37 records beginning this
way, before it goes on to 02 and so on.
The change seemed to take place after I had been looking in Windows Media
Player and selected 'Tools > Apply Media Informa...

burning tracks in preferred order in wmp 11
In my library, I drag albums into the burn list in the order I want to hear
them, but wmp 11always changes the order. I've looked at all the options
settings, but can't find a cure. Am I missing something?...

cant upload video due to .MSWMM file extension
i made my videousing wiindows movie maker...then when i was trying to upload
it in you tube...i cant because the file extension is .MSWMM,what shall i do
so that i could upload it?i cant change the extension using right clicking
then choosing rename.
Pls helpme me because this is a surprise for my future wife

Media Player v.11 HELP!!!!!!
My WMP was working fine. Now i can no longer play videos in .avi file. I can
hear the sound but instead of the picture....i see the plug in running. What
to do?!

WMP11 Freezes while syncing
I have a gigabeat S and it synced fine with XP WMP11, but when I upgraded to
Vista I cannot fully sync. It will start syncing and after 3-12 songs it
stops. Anyone had a similar issue? Any suggestions?

What two head video card can play High Definition video on a secondary
monitor in the extended desktop mode? I saw in MS Knowledge Base and on the
Internet that most of two head video cards reduce speed on the extended

Playing more than 1 movie in Windows Vista
When i try to play second movie on windows vista (at once with 2 diferent
programms) my computer crashes - the keyboard doesnt react, i just hear the
sounds of the movie but i can not turn off the movie nor do anything else
than just reset. i just made clean install of OS Windows Vista Home Premium
and it did not help....

Problem importing and detecting Canon HD10 (HDV camcorder)
When I plug the Canon HD10 into firewire, Vista detected as an video
controller under "Sound, video and game controllers" instead of Imaging
devices. I also have a old JVC DV detected as "Imaging devices" and I have
no problem importing video via Windows Movie Maker. Is it something wrong
with my Canon or is there a way to make Vista treat it as a Image devices so
I can import the vide...

I WANT to sync everything...
Everything I've read says that if your device is big enough WMP will set it
to automatically sync everything. I have a Creative Zen Vision: M 30GB and I
have about 10 GB of music in my library. It won't let me sync everything and
makes me select certain playlists. All the help files tell you how to switch
from synching everything to just synching certain playlists not vice versa.

Codec Priority
Hi
I was wondering how I can change the audio codec priority in Windows Vista?
In Windows XP this could be done using Control Panel, as you could look at
the properties of the device "Audio Codecs" and see a list installed on the
system and adjust priority easily. There does not seem to be a way to do
this in Vista.

Can't save edited Photo Gallery pics
Dear all,
In some subfolders in the My Pictures folder, Windows Photo Gallery won't
allow me to save edited pics. Whenever I try to save any changes, even simply
turning the picture around, and message says, "An error is preventing Photo
Gallery from saving this picture." before closing.
I also have a problem with the Windows Sidebar - it won't allow me to open
any pictures that are...

This Always Happens
Why is it that every time i open my Video folder (or any folder which videos
are in) that i get this message saying ' Com Surrogate has stopped working. A
problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the
program and notify you if a solution is available. '
What does that mean? It only happens when ever i open a folder which
contains video files.

How do I get WMP11 to discover .m4a in my monitored folders???
I have all of my music in .m4a as I use an iPod and iTunes. I want WMP11 to
discover these files and add them to the library automatically. If I drag an
individual file into WMP11 it will play the format but I need it to
continually discover the files so I can have my library up to date at all
times and same me draging each individaul file (5000+) in....

DivX and Movie Maker
Okay, so I'm using a DivX file to supply the video for my movie, right? Well,
when I import into WMM, it imports fine, but the video is upside-down. Is
this normal behavior , or is something wrong with the file, and can I fix it?

Restoring Default Music folder in Vista.
I deleted the Music folder too see if Vista would automatically restore it
like Xp does, apparently it doesnt. The Music link from the Start Menu doesnt
work, it doesnt even appear on <User Name>, How can I restore it?...

Autoplay won't start!!!
Like some of the others, I have trouble with autoplay.
Whenever I attach my camera, autoplay will not run. I go into the autoplay
options through the start menu and change the option to 'ask every time' but
no.

I-Tunes Music Videos
Is anyone having problems with I-Tunes Music Videos. I just purchased one and
when I go to play it it says I-Tunes has stopped working. Windows will close
the program and notify you if a solution is available. I have e-mailed

Media Player 11 Issues
Any help that can be provided would be appreciated.
I'm having serious issues the last 2 weeks with mp11.
First, mp11 won't add new content. I can't rip a new cd into media player
or add any new videos. The program will not search folders for new content
either, it simply doesn't open when I manually search for new content.

Media Player 11 for Vista stutters playing audio
My audio files play perfectly until the last 10 seconds when they stutter and
jump. I have shuffle play turned on - it's as if the next track is being
prepared for play and slows everything down. Running home premium with 4GB
RAM. Any ideas please? Thanks...

VERY Slow MP4 playback startup in Vista
Under WinXP on my Dell xps M1710 very large MP4 files (ca. 700MB in size)
would load and start playing in a couple of seconds (using 3ivx codec).
Now under Vista Ultimate (installed cleanly) on the same hardware; it takes
85 SECONDS to begin playback of the same MP4 files.
I get the same poor playback on a very fast desktop PC also running Vista on
a fast RAID drive. BTW, I am talki...

Media Player File Names
Is there any way to have Media Player name my ripped files "## - Song
Name.mp3"? In particular, I would like there to be spaces around the dashes.
I'm also curious if I can setup the folder structure I want, other than the
overly simplistic "Rip music to this location" option.
If not, WMP seems to be very lacking in this regard... There seems to be no
