downloading a gif?
I want to safe a gif from a free gif site to my hard drive -- when I right
click and choose "save picture" I get a static image saved, not the
animation. What do I need to do instead?
Or an I opening the saved file wrong? I am using the automatic open picture
file that Vista brings up.
Am I missing something obvious here?

WMP11, Sansa E280, Itunes Store
Hello folks,
My question is can I use Itunes to buy music and then get WMP11 to recognize
it! Once I can get the music in WMP11 I can load it on my Sansa and enjoy it.
I like the WMP11 interface and I don't plan on using itunes for an interface
with my sansa. I tried rhapsody but had lots of problems. So I just want a

Media centre
Does any-one know an answer to this continual problem i have in media centre
in vista home premium.?
I click on a song to play and it starts playing,i click on visualise and
then the song continues to play but no visualisation,the counter stops in the
bottom right of the screen,the mouse cursor disappears and for all intensive
purposes it has crashed but the song continues to play.

Vista - cd drive vanished. How do I get it back?
Suddenly, my CD drive is gone. A check in Computer confirms this. I have
Vista MP11 which still plays downloaded music fine, but an inserted cd is not
recognized. Nothing has occurred within the time since it last worked. System

Saving audio file in wav instead of wma
I need to record audio files in wav format but Vista automatically saves it
in wma and doesn't give me the option of using another format. Anyone know
how to change the settings to allow me to save my files in wav instead?

Problem downloading pictures from camera
My husband downloaded vacation pictures from our Canon PowerShot A95 camera
using the direct download feature w/ USB port as normal. However, he renamed
the folder "Florida" and it changed each photos JPG chronological number to

New to Vista -- No streaming video?
Hello! I just bought a new computer with Vista Business, and I can't get
streaming video on any web site. I just get a blank space where the player
should be -- no video or audio. I can download the video and it plays fine,
but I can't actually view it on the page. I've tried it on a variety of
sites, and none of them have worked. Is this a known problem? Am I missing a
setting somewhere...

Windows Movie Maker won't play clips.
I've just imported about 2 hours of content from a digital camera. It is now
in the .wmv format. It plays fine when I double click it but when i open this
file with windows movie maker, it divides the file into clips. However, only
some of these clips play in the preview. The other clips only show a black
screen. I can't edit the movie at all if the clips don't play. How do I fix
this?...

DVD's burned with vista cannot be read by other windows machines-H
I have a new Toshiba with Vista. I also have a Dell and HP, both with XP. I
can burn a cd on the vista machine using windows and read it ok with the dell
and hp. However, when I burn a dvde on the vista machine I can only read it
on the vista machine, NOT THE DELL AND HP XP MACHINES!
Any ideas would be very much appreciated and keep me sane.

Network Printing - Windows Photo gallery
Hello,
I'm running Home Premium. I have two printers set up. A B&W laser on a USB
port connected to the computer and a networked Colour Laser (HP2600n).
Both are shared, are seen in Control Panel and work fine.
When I try and print through Windows Photo Gallery the networked colour
printer is not an option? There is just the XPS document writer and the B&W
Laser!
What am I missing?

4x6 pictures on one 8.5x11 sheet
I am an amature photographer and print all my own pictures. When I was on
XP, I was able to print 3 4x6 pictures on one 8.5x11 sheet of paper using the
print option under Photo and Fax Viewer. Now that I'm on Vista, I am only
able to print 2 4x6 pictures on one 8.5x11 sheet of paper using the included

Auto playlist in WMP 11 not sticking to the size limit
Hi
I have created an auto playlist in Windows Media Player 11 (Vista) to sync
to my Nokia 6300. The restriction on the playlist is that it should not
exceed 1.4GB in size. Yet, when it syncs, it takes up the entire free space
(1.8GB) which is not helpful. I would appreciate any help in this. Many

XBOX 360 & Vista Home Premium
I have a HP PC with Vista Home Premium and an XBOX 360. I have successfully

All of my pictures have disappeared in Vista Media Center
I just built a new computer and put a fresh install of Vista Home Premium on
it 2 days ago. My last PC had Media Center 2005 on it. I use Media Center

Hello All,
Can you help?
Every time i play an MP3 with windows media centre the sound glitches as the
track comes to an end. If you have the visualisation running it seems to
coincide with the track details appearing on screen.

itunes 7.2 store and downloading
ok..so I just upgraded to windows vista home premium. Now in itunes 7.2 I
can't listen to the 30 second clips, the itunes store has errors, and worst
of all, when I purchase a song, it says that i purchased it and it is going

Can't add a video to my playlist, nor can I sync anything
Well, when I open a movie, I'll watch it for a little while, then I'll
attempt to put it in my library and nothing happens. I thought it was

Lost Pictures
I seem to have accidently deleted my entire photo collection on
my computer. I was sure that I had a backup, but it has apparently been lost.
Windows Photo Gallery displays thumbnails of all the photos, but can't find
