Eudora drag-and-drop attachments
To those who use Eudora on Vista...
On my old XP machine, I was able to drag-and-drop attachments, but on Vista
I am no longer able to. This was a pretty handy and I think basic function.
Is there a setting for this that I missed, or is this not possible because of
Vista compatibility issues? Anyone else try this?

Windows mail Shutdown
When I shutdown Windows Mail, it appears to shutdown properly. Unfortunately
when I try to open Mail again the system tells me that Mail is already open,
eventhough there is no window open. I then have to go into Task Manager,
Processes and end the WinMail.exe process, before I can open a Mail window.
Any ideas, please ????????

Calendar question - sorry for the OT
I'm asking this here as there does not appear to be a group for the Windows
Calendar. I apologise for the OT.
In the week view there is a space at the top of each day column for "all
day" events. I have a number of those and the daily total often exceeds two,
which is all that there is space to show. There are arrows at the right hand

Windows Live Mail Beta - anyone using this?
I'm "thinking" ~ downloading and installing the new Microsoft
Windows Live Mail beta:

1. Will it COMPLETELY REPLACE my most crummy Vista Windows Mail?

hotmail Live still not working
I have windows Live hotmail however when I try to send email from any other
vista site I get the mesg that htmail is no longer supported . I am themn
given options to fix the problem the option is Live Hotmail. I have Live
Hotmail but I still can't send ant. Does anyone have any answers for this
one?

Downloading large emails
I'm new at using Windows Mail for Vista Basic. This stuff is driving me
nuts! I started checking my email at 6:30AM this morning. It's now 2:37PM.
It's STILL trying to download an email. I received one...now it's hung up.
Is there a way to acually STOP it from downloading? When I hit "stop" it
still tries to finish the download. What's the point of hitting stop? True,

Windows Mail - links in email messages don't work
Windows Mail was working perfectly until a couple of days ago.
Now I am unable to get any of the links in my old or new email messages to
work - when I click on a link in an email, I get a message saying
'Application not found'. Don't know if this is due to anything my son has
installed or deleted from our computer in the last few days!!
Can anyone help please?

I seem to be having the same problems as a lot of you, and have tried some of

Mail Security
This question will actually pertain to most email clients, but I intend to
ask specifically about Windows Mail and WLM beta.
My question is, when you "view" a message in the preview pane, is this the
same as "opening" the message? I know that opening a spam message can
sometimes send a message to the originator notifying them that the email

Contacts
I cannot see contacts when I try to create a new message or forward a
message. My contact list imported successfully from OE and I can see the
contact list. When I click on the TO: tab when creating a new message, I
receive a blank list.

Send / Receive Not Working
Please help - I have just bought a new laptop with Vista and Windows Mail.
When I first open Mail and hit send / receive It is fine.
But as soon as I write a new mail and press "Send" at the top of the
message, it goes into the Outbox and doesn't send. I can press the "Send /
Receive " button and nothing happens.
If I close Mail and re-open it goes. Can someone suggst a fix?

I've just set up windows mail in vista home premium with all my correct
details from TalkTalk with my username (not my e-mail address) and password
