New AVG plug in for Windows Mail ?
Starting today... every time I boot to Vista... AVG (free) gives me an error
message... "E-mail Scanner is not fully functional". The detailed error
message at the bottom of the page reads "E-Mail Scanner" "Personal E-mail
Scanner is not configured".
The "About AVG Free Edition" reads release date 6/25/2007 12:20 PM".

outlook express
i have xp pro on my other pc, normally i save the mail dbx file and copy back
in to express once i have formatted my pc, i want to transfer my files frommy
main pc to laptop, but on laptop i have vista which folder do i cop my dbx
files to keep al my old emals from outlook express? please help ...

go back to XP?
After reading all the problems with Vista, ones that I, too am experiencing,
I am thinking I should go back to XP, simply because I could bumble my way
through. I can't even do anything without spending hours trying to figure
things out with this POS program. bad, bad, bad program and zits to those
who released it on an unsuspecting and nongeek public.

windows doesn't remember contacts when i try to send email
with windows xp in outlook all i had to do was type the 1st couple letters of
someones name or email address and the rest of the address would blow in.
this only happens once in a while with windows mail. it seems to forget the

Outlook 2003 Mail on old machine to Microsoft Mail on new machine
My old machine is Win XP Professional running Outlook express 2003 with IE 7
loaded. My new machine is running Vista with only Microsoft Mail loaded on

How to put the CHECK NAMES (CTRL+K) automatically, without need to press
TAB or CTRL+K ?

Windows mail is slow
My windows mail works ok, but when you click on the different folders it
takes a long time to switch and then it sits there and sits there trying to
download the email in the lower half of the screen. Is there a fix for this?
The computer is up to speed on everything else.

Windows vista error 0x00000000
The message won't send. I can't send any other messages. Is there something
I can do? It is stuck in the outgoing box and whenever I try to delete it,
it gives me that error code.

lost all messages in windows mail
I use windows mail for vista, my laptop went dead the other day and when I
plugged it back in all my emails are gone, all inbox, outbox, everything. I
don't know if this is just a coincidence or why this has happened??? Is there
anything I can do, there were important contact emails I need for work,
should I use the WMUTIL program? Please help thanks....

windows mail problem showing recipients
How do I show all of the recipients of an email I receive? I can see my
address but the "TO" line does not wrap so any other addresses are hidden.
Even if the program window is maximized addresses are lost. Outlook Express
allowed for all the recipients to be viewed....

windows mail problem
For some reason today my windows mail "deleted messages" changed to show an
icon of a wastebaset, and now when I click to empty the deleted messages
folder it only deletes one message at a time. Just as usual, it asks if I'm
sure I want to permenantly delete all of the messages, but then it only
deletes one. How can I fix this?...

How do I forward my Windows Mail email to Gmail while on the road?
Is there a way to have all my email FORWARDED from my Windows Mail
to my Gmail email account on a temporary basis - like while I'm away on a
trip?
Then when I return home, I reset the system to use my normal ISP and
Windows Mail to send and receive email.
I have set-up my Gmail to automatically send a copy of all email received by
Gmail to
my normal Windows Mail / ISP setup. This works ...

Contacts in Windows Mail
I recently imported contacts from an older computer running Outlook Express.
The contacts came over into Windows Mail okay, but they are not in the order
I wish. They are in alphabetical by FIRST name. I find that I can change
the way the "full name" is listed by going to each individual contact, but
can this be done for the entire contact list at once?

Cannot delete contacts - Mail unexpectedly terminates
Have been having this problem since migrating over to Vista...when trying to
remove/edit/modify a contact, the Mail program states it has unexpected
problem and searches for solution online then terminates.

Postings Questions to this Group
Several times I have posted 'Questions' to this group. On the posting form,
opposite 'Post Type' the 'Question' button is clearly selected. But when the
posting appears in the news group it is marked as a 'Comment'.
Isn't this a bug that Microsoft sould fix?

Windows Mail configuration
When tying to set up windows mail for lizzy.com.au it will not allow me to
send emails..i can receive them using Windows Mail but not send. I get this
