Windows Mail
I use windows mail and have duplicated entries in my contacts list. The
contacts list seems to be what we called Address Book in XP.
How can I remove the duplicated address's....

Links Don't Work in Vista Mail
When I receive an e-mail containing links, they don't work. I click
repeately and nothing happens. I have already confirmed that Mail and
Internet Explored have all of their defaults. Any suggestions? Thanks.

spelling check
Windows Mail seems to only allow for English (US) as the spell check
dictionary. There is only one "english" language option and the spelling
checks are American not British.
Is there a way to change the spelling dictionary? Preferably to Engliah
(Australia) .

Suddenly, I can't send email. Something about "authentication". I've
followed the instructions for a fix through troubleshooting, but that's

Windows Mail Security Warning ???
I just attempted to send an email and got the following message:
Security Warning:
You do not have a digital ID. If you send this message, it will be sent
properly, but you will not be able to read it in your sent items folder.
Send anyway?
the only options are YES and NO.

Opening Mail from websites
When I click on an e-mail address in a website it tries (but fails) to open
Outlook. That is probably because I haven't got Outlook but run Windows Mail
in Vista. In the Tools/options drop down, Mail is shown as the default, so I
don't know why it won't open.

OE6 to Windows Mail
I know there are a lot of postings out there already, but I haven't seen this
question addressed.
I am trying to help a friend who has a Vista system that she's
been using for several weeks and has already accumulated a fair number of

Importing from Outlook to Windows Mail
I have just moved to a new pc and moved all my files from the old system to
the new using the Easy transfer capabilitites of Vista. Both pc's have
vista. On the old system I was using Outlook and with the transfer the new

A good configuration for Windows Mail and Technet Newsgroups
I like how Windows Mail will tell me what posts I have looked at, but it
doesn't seem to keep all the messages. I only have a few months worth. Is
there a way to configure this? I have told it to "Download all messages".
Also it doesn't have the featuer of requesting notification when somone
replies to my post. Can it set that?

wmutil worked on my stuck file in the outbox
I had a stuck email in my outbox. actually when I looked in my sent
box...the mail had been sent BUT I had exactly the same problem as all the
people here with the error message. I downloaded the WMUtil program and I
clicked the clear outbox button and it said mail was deleted... I didn't
believe it...but I looked and sure enough it was gone! It this utility
program not working for ...

Problems

Need Help Getting Started

Problems with connecting to Newsgroups at work but not at home
Below is the error message I get when I try to connect to my newsgroup at work.

very slow and not able to retreive all type of e-mail
I have a new computer Vista that came with Norton antivirus, and under you
suggestions I uninstalled Norton to install avast4.7. I cancel in avast the
scanning of incomming and outgoing mail .
I saw the vista64 tutorial about spybot and I don't have spybot on this

Windows Mail error messages won't quit.
After having one message that couldn't be sent, resulting in an error
message, I have sent and received many messages. My Windows Mail is working
fine. But I keep getting the same two messages from the original incident -
The error message plus the message that "I have unsent messages in my outbox.
Do you want to send now?"

Sending Bulk Mail using Windows Mail
How does one go about sending bulk mailings and be able to hide email
addresses? The Windows Mail info on Contact Groups will always show all
email addresses when sending mail. For privacy reasons I need to send
messages to a specific group but I need to hide the email addresses. Can
this be done using Windows Mail?
