Menu Bar
Hi,
I am using Vista Home Premium and my menu bar in contact seems to be
correct. However my wife has Vista Home Pemium on her laptop and the menu bar
is different. There is no Add Contact or Add Group contacts. Does anyone
know how to restore her menu bar to the default?...

Thunderbird
I have been using Mozilla Thunderbird for some time and want to start using
Windows Mail.

Windows Mail - unknown error
Refusing to do this that or the other and sayiong an "unknown error"
Also - when selecting a number of posts with "combine and decode" it doesn't
- it gets to the end and refuses to save freezing with a "not responding"
All in all Windows Mail isnt working to well.........

Can you put a moving .gif in an email signature?
I'm trying to put a moving .gif file in my windows live mail signature
default, but every time I try to create a new email, I get a message saying
it's not compatible with txt files and that the signature's been deleted. Is
there something I'm doing wrong?

Cannot delete empty imported folders
I imported Oldmail from OE6 with the method described in
www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#oe2wm .
I experienced that when you try to import many folders at one time, some of
the folders caused errors and resulted in 0 imported messages. Therefore I
proceeded with importing the folders one at the time and this method did not
cause the import errors.

Cannot create contacts... ?
When I try to make a contact or contact group I get:
"C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\Wab.exe is not a valid Win32 application."
And then another window pops up that says:
"Unable to create the file 'New Contact.contact'
File system error (16389)."
Help please. :)...

Using Bcc in Windows Mail
We're having trouble cutting and pasting a large email list to the Bcc field
using Windows Mail. All of our emails and lists were transferred onto our
new computer from our old Outlook Express to the new Vista Windows Mail. In
Outlook Express, I was able to simply copy the email list and paste it
directly onto the Bcc line. I have several email lists, each with over 200

Sent emails & Message Rules for incoming Mail
I have two problems setting up Windows Mail, No.1 apparently resolved for
now, No.2 still requiring assistance.
1. Some emails with attachments were not recorded as being sent - still
appeared in Outbox as unsent and not appearing in Sent Items. Error

Weird Problem
My Windows mail has a weird issue, i am sometimes able to send/recieve emails
but sometimes while sending emails, windows mail asks me for my username and
password..on entering the same, it keeps on asking the same.. i am sure my
username and password is absolutely correct..i believe, i am not too sure..
it happens when i choose wifi connection as a public rather then private..
any help...

Message Highlighting
When I select any message in WM it is highlighted in a very pale blue-green
color. Is there a way to change that blue-green to some other color that
provides more contrast? I can barely see which message is selected. Thanks.

Transfering Contacts
I just recently acquired a system running VISTA. I am trying to transfer my
existing email addresses from theold XP system running OE7. When I try to
use export|Address Book|Microsoft Exchange Personal Address Book I get a
message that "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail

Deleted Items not being deleted
My Deleted Items shows 20 messages and when i try to click "Emty Deleted
Items Folder" nothing happens. Also when clicking any message in the deleted
items folder (Headers are displayed ok) it says

SENDING & RECEIVING
For those who are having problems sending and receiving email, I have found
two solutions.
(1) if you are running Norton Security -- remove it by going to Google and
look for -symnrt- and download the removal program.
(2) go to start my computer - click on programs click on turn windows
features on or off and look for Telnet client and Telnet Server and place a
check mark in the box...

I need seperate e-mail adresses for my kids, one for each user
When I got internet service through roadrunner they automatically gave me an
e-mail account. now I would like to give each of my kids their own e-mail
adress on each of their user accounts. I am usind windows vista home
premium/windows mail. I have tried going to accounts and add new account, but
i don't think it worked. any steps i might have missed?...

Import dv to Movie Maker & Media Issues-Plays in Fast Forward ...
As stated above...Imported Video Clips to Movie maker so I could edit. When
I click on a clip it plays in FAST FORWARD and sound distortion, which I am
sure is related to the FF. I tried to Open in Media player, but the clips
play the same way...I have searched for a solution and a few days later I
still cant find one. Any one familiar with this and know how to fix it?

problems replying to messages from Yahoo groups
I am having problems replying to some messages sent through my Yahoo groups.
When I hit reply, my cursor flashes wildly and I am not able to type. This
does not happen with all messages, just when replying to certain group
members. It also only happens when I use Windows Mail. Anyone know what
causes this and how to fix it?...
