Outlook pst files imported into Mail?
Does anyone know how to import and open Outlook files in Windows Mail? I
get a pop up box asking for compatible software - is this not possible in
Mail?

cannot delete old emails
it is impossible delete old e-mails from eliminated mail: i see a "disowned
error". What can i do?...

entering name in TO:
In Outlook Express, you could enter generally the first letter of a name and
the name would automatically pop up in the To: space. It saved time from
scrolling down to find the name of person you would be sending the email to.
Is this option available in Windows Mail? If so, how to use this option?...

Will not let me send
Opened up MS Mail under Vista Basic, set up my account on a pop3 server
(roadrunner), can receive mail just fine but cannot send. Gives me the
following error

Cannot send emails
Please help. I have been at this for 5 hours. I have tried the thread
solutions but some of them are too difficult for me to understand. I am not
familiar with computers.
I can receive but not send. They just stack up in my outbox. I have tried
to delete them but one in particular just gives me an error message " unknown
error has occurred. Check for low memory" I have plenty of...

Can't get Windows mail to work
Called ISP (time warner)- and they said to uninstall firewall?
New computer, Windows mail worked when I first put in the information.
Installed AVG anti-virus, now it doesn't work. I used AVG previously with
Outlook and Outlook express without issue.
I also have McAfee on this machine, but haven't activated it yet. It might
be active - but I haven't registered.

Scheduling Tasks
I would like to schedule tasks or follow up reminders from a specific
message. In Outlook you could right click and add reminder, how do I do the
same with Windows Mail?...

Won't receive/download certain emails from server
Hi,
I'm having a problem where Windows Mail will not download certain e-mails
from my mail server (pop3). I have no incoming file size restrictions
activated and I have cleared my blocked senders list yet it will still not
download any messages. Some of them are even from microsoft about one-care
and xbox live.
Any help is appreciated. (Not running any 3rd party mail filter apps)...

Cannot receive emails on Windows Vista
I have just bought a new PC with Windows Vista. I have set up the email
account with exactly the same information as was on the previous machine and
can send emails but cannot receive them. I went into help and changed
everything that they suggested but to no avail. Has anyone any ideas please?
I'm feeling pretty desparate.

Strange Error in windows Vista Mail (when sending it freaks out)
Hi all!
I've got a problem with windows vista mail..
When i start the mail client, it connects and retrives the mail..
If i send a mail, it sends it correctly..
BUT! when I press the send/recive button it says:
Error occured when the requested activities was processed, information is in
the page "ERROR" (translated from swedish to english) ..

Can't Send in Windows Mail Please Help!
Hi:
I changed to from Netzero Dial-Up to DSL and now I can't send messages.
Please help! :O) Here is the error I receive:
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this

stuck messages in inbox
Hey! I've got two messages that are stuck in my inbox. Both are listed as
having attachments and are from trusted sources, so I'm not worried about
viruses. I have tried deleting and even moving the messages but the only
thing WinMail tells me is that an unknown error has occurred. I have read
through several blogs and tried a few things but nothing has seemed to help.

How to reinstall Windows Mail
I would like to copy all contacts and old mails in a "history folder" and
reinstall the programm windows mail
How do I do this ?
At the moment every time I open the programm a new folder with "recyled
mesagges" are added - presently about 50 of them
How do I get this away ?

invisible "Posteingang" (inbox folder) on IMAP account
When I call up the folder list of my IMAP account I can see my "Posteingang"
(inbox) folder and can click on "Go To" to see the content (incomming mails).
But it's inpossible to make it show up permanently! The buttons (show/hide)
are grayed out and can't be selected.
So everytime i startup WinMail the "Posteingang" is hidden and i've to call
up folder list, select "Posteingang" and click...

When I select an email and get a second window the top of that window is off
the screen and I can't maximize, minimize or close without right clicking the

Is there a way to make a rule without using the wizard. In other words if you
move a message with the mouse, could this action set up a rule for all

Windows mail, suddenly lag/become unuseable.
Been using windows mail, and have been quite happy with it, until a few days
ago.
Now suddenly ewrything have slowed down BADLY, all other programs and such
run
normal and smoothly..
But windows mail now.. Well just to start this new thread took from when i
pressed
new mail, until i was actually able to do ANYTHING. 7-9 secounds. and thats
pretty fast

how contact to split into folder while select recipient
Dear all,
I am so used to outlook express which I can select from different folder in
the contact list while creating new email (Eg: personal, company).
But in windows mail contact list, while creating new email, all contact are
listed together and are not able to find any folder for select recipient.
Furture more, I am not able to add another column in the select recipient

iPhone does not use Windows Calendar? Why?
I just got my new toy and find that it does not use my windows calendar.
