How do I Delete Duplicated Messages in Windows Mail??
I was asked to change the settings on my desktop e mail client program.
When I was done, 6000 old E Mails reappeared.
I have found a few programs on the internet that automatically delete
duplicate emails , they work on Outlook only.
I need a program to delete all these Duplicated Messages in Windows Mail at

Unable to send mail from Vista
I have quite a few problems with Vista. I understand my work VPN doesn't
work with Vista yet. My newest concern though is emailing pictures. I just
installed a program to get put my pics on my computer however when I went to
email the pics they never arrived. I realized they were coming from a
Microsoft email account which I didn't know existed. How do I go about
finding a password...

Yet Another Cannot Send problem
I bought the laptop with Vista and Microsoft mail a week ago. At first the
mail program worked fine, albeit slow. Now I cannot send email. No error
message appears; the mail just goes to the Outbox and stays there. My server
information is correct. (Pinetree Networks). I've tried to disable the
McCaffree virus scanner to no avail. Every time I open Mail it "processes"
each and every file...

Attaccment resizing?
Previous computer had outlook express, when I attached a picture it gave me
the option of resizing so I could send a smaller picture . Windows mail on
Vista does not seem to do this. Is there a way to resize the picture in
widows mail before sending?...

On exiting Windows Mail, "winmail.exe" remains as active process
Window Mail was working fine, but 4 days ago a problem surfaced. Whenever I
exit Windows Mail, the window closes, but "winmail.exe" remains as a active
process. This prevents me from restarting Windows Mail unless I use the
"Task Manager" to end the active "winmail.exe" process. Does anyone know
what the problem and/or solution is to this is?

Pictures in Contacts
When I add pictures to my contacts list, there is always a hi lighted upper
portion, the same as the original default icon. Is there any way to simply
have a clean picture in there, without the hi light? Thank you.

vista-windows mail and mcafee problems
i have a new computer running vista. my emails are received by windows mail
and the computer is protected by mcafee.
sending mail i receive a time out message but it does eventually go.
receiving mail i receive an error message (err in valid command port 110
secure ssl no server error ox800ccc90 error no ox800ccc15)
in windows mail bottom right hand corner it shows an error yellow sign or ...

Folder Hierarchy After Importing
Finally imported all OE6 messages but every folder is saved under 'Imported
Folder'. Is there no way to get them under 'Local Folder' to recreate the

Cannot send
I cannot send or recieve email. I get the following error:
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account:
'mail.optonline.net', Server: 'mail.optonline.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
I disabled all email scanning by McAfee. I also removed my account and then
added it. I am still not having any luck....

Question re newsgroup spellchecker
When I hit F7 do activate spellcheck for a message I get the error message
"The language is no longer available for spellchecking. Please select
another in the spelling options dialog." I don't see any dialog. The
language is English!
Help please.

IMAP Synchronizing problems
I find that Windows Mail periodically blips and has to re-synchronize all
emails with the IMAP folders, i.e. it has to re-read everthing, takes forever
and a day.
Also not all emails get synchronized - on the server there are far more
emails but the only way of getting them to sync properly, is to move them to
another folder. In doing so I managed to lose a month's worth of emails. ...
