can't get my mail
Hi there,
I cannot get my e mail,
I click on send/recieve and it comes up connecting to @pop.ntlworld.com@ but
then it says disconnecting.....what is this? I am connected!...

Windows Mail Recovered Folder
Help! I couldn't delete an email in my Inbox. I followed the directions
about deleteing the 2 files in WindowsMail.MSMessageStore under Search.
Now everytime I close Windows Mail and reopen it, I have a new folder at the
bottom under Recovered Folders. It has the date and is blank.
How do I stop Windows Mail from creating a new folder each time I open the
program?

Port Problem with Vista Windows Mail
I cannot get Windows Mail configured correctly. Seems my system is not
listening on POP3 port 110, or SMTP port25.
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'your_account',
Server:mail.cocmast.net, Protocol:POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): NO,
Socket error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800ccc0e
Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Inserting e-mail addresses automatically
Hi,
In the old Outlook Express 6.0, whenever I was composing an e-mail, I used
to be able to type just a few strokes of the addressee's e-mail address, and
somehow the rest of it would be automatically inserted.
I now find in VISTA, that this works for only some of the people I have in
my address book, but NOT FOR OTHERS. Any suggestions on how I can get ALL to
work properly?

Which version?
I'm going to buy a new computer the next week. The one I'm going to buy (ASUS
F3Sv) has Windows Vista Business. I wonder what the pros and cons of this
version of Vista are. I'm going to use the coputer to gaming mostly, and
school work. Should I avoid this version, or is it better than Vista Home
Basic nonetheless?...

Automatic insertion of email addresses
When I start typing a To: addressee, Windows Mail provides a list of all
previously used addresses. But some of them (which are not in my address
book) I don't want there any more, as they were used only for testing
purposes when I was having trouble setting up Windows Mail, How can I now
get rid of those 'history' entries that I no longer want?

importing old emails
I am at the end of my rope, I have a couple of folders of old e-mails in
a folder on my desktop. I want to bring those over to Windows Mail, the name
of one of the folders is PrintQ, I want to import it into the WM from Vista,
can anyone PLEASE help me? I have pulled half of my hair out already.

windows vista mail
Bonjour la communauté.
La visionneuse Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 est installé. Lorsque je
recois un courriel avec un fichier *,pps ce dernier ne s'ouvre pas. Un
message d'erreur apparaît. Toutefois le visionneuse est belle et bien
installé dans définir programmes par défaut.
S.v.p. quelqu'un aurait une solution?

Problem to send messages
I have a problem with windows mail when I want to send messages directly.
When I push send, the message is delivered to the outbox. When I push the
send/recieve button, nothing happends.
I have to close windows mail and restart it, then the message is send.
Sometimes I also get an error message telling me that the message cannot be

Transferring Rules

i have outlook 2003 installed on my new vista computer
i moved the .pst file over and it runs ok
i would like to transfer the messages, contacts, and RULES from outlook 2003
to windows mail on the same machine
can't seem to find a KB to help
