Windows Mail--importing from OE6
I haven't seen this problem on the message board. I recently helped a friend
transfer her dbx files from OE6 to Windows Mail on a new computer. The
transfer seemed to be going smoothly until the very end when an alert
appeared briefly saying an error occurred, but did not offer further
explanation. When the Import Wizard completed the final step, the Inbox in
Windows Mail had a new folde...

Windows Mail problem identification - at least for me
I just upgraded to Vista a couple weeks ago and everything was working
beautifully until I tried to send an e-mail to a fairly large group of
people. I struggled with it for a week, systematically going through
everything I thought could be a problem, and then I came here looking for
help.
I've read a lot of the Windows Mail posts and, so far, don't see a solution.

IAF files for Outlook Express?
It seems that the format of IAF files has changed in Windows Mail, at
least I can't seem to import accounts into OE.
Is there a way to modify the IAF files for Outlook Express?

..contact-files directly to the zip_package.So how do i import these .contact
files into Outlook Express.I'm pretty sure that Microsoft,that is definetly

Outgoing Mail not sent
This seems to be a real problem to many with Vista, incoming mail is not a
problem but when I try to send, I get the following error message:-
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Fw: RE: amazing!

Window Vista Mail
I am so not happy with Windows Vista Mail!!!! I have put a message in its
folder only to have it reappear in my inbox and then telling me an unknown
error had occurred. If it is an error, WHY doesn't windows Mail know what

I backed my old email Outlook Express .dbx files to a USB drive. How do I

Windows Vista Mail open problem
Vista Home premium IE 7.0 when I click on Read Mail the inbox window will not
open. It sits at the bottom of the page and i have to click it to open.
How can i set it uo so I can bypass the last step.

This keeps popping up when I open Windows Mail....
"The server you are connected to is using a security certificatethat could
not be verified."
I usually just have to cancel it out and hit send/receive again to get my
email. It's just annoying. Anyone ever seen this? Thanks!...

Windows Mail times out receiving mail
HI,
I'm just setiing up a brand new machine with Vista and have configured
Windows Mail with one account. When Windows Mail goes to receive mail it see
the messages, seems to stall until POP timeout setting then asks "Your POP3
mail server has not responded. Do you want to wait?"
Preseeing wait just repeats that cycle. Pressing stop then says "download
cancelled"
I've switched off ...

Why does my Windows mail freeze...?
Hi and thanks for looking in......
I have vista home and windows mail is proving quite a problem.
It will ALWAYS disconnect from the internet and then ask for an internet
connection when ever it needs to check for new mail.
If I open it and then click "tools" choose "accounts" highlight my account

I need to know
I need to know the incoming mail server name and the outgoing server name.
I had put POP3 on the first one and SMTP on the outgoing. An e-mail I tried
to send is stuck here because it says that what I wrote caused an error.
What should I answer? What is my incoming mail server and what is my
outgoing server. I need this information as soon as possible.

can not send email
Having read all the threads I still have problems sending email - my isp is
talktalk.net but my emails are through pop.tiscali.co.uk. This all worked
fine b4 changing to vista all i can do now is receive and not send - any
ideas anyone....

deleting" deleted item folder"
I can not delete my "deleted folder". I click delete items. A pop up says
do you want to delete the contents of your deleted folder? I say yes and
then it just deletes only 1 email. I have 400 and more adding up as we
speak. What to do? Error messages come up when I highlight and try to delete
more than one item. Definitely a glitch that needs worked out....
