Transfer mails and contacts from old pc to new pc
can anyone help me with easy to follow instructions on how i can get all my
emails and contacts from my old pc (with outlook express) to my new pc with
windows mail.
Nothing came over when i carried out the easy transfer process from pc to pc
using a usb cable.
Please anyone replying - treat me as a computer idito and spell it out for
me in basic terms!!!!

All Message Bodies are the same - recoverable?
So I was moving some email around into various folders, sorting my inbox on
the Windows Mail Client. Now for some reason all the message bodies of one
of my mail folders with about 100 mails in them, have the same message body-
every one!!! The Message Subjects haven't changed, but when you go into the
actual body of teh message it says the same thing - being that of one of my

Sharing email acounts with OE and WM
Is there any way i can receive the same Emails on my Desktop and Laptop using
OE on my Desktop with Windows XP and WM on my Laptop with Vista. I want to be
able to use the same email account at home and away from home. Can I download
Windows Mail on my Desktop or OE on my laptop??? There has to be some way to
receive them without having to go through the process of saving them...

hot sync with windows contacts / calendar
I am using windows vista and would like to sync my Palm Tungsten E with
windows contacts and calendar (not microsoft outlook).....I am not able to

How to create a rule?
I am fairly new to this but would like to know how to create a rule. I have
unbelievable amounts of spam coming my way and want to set up a list of
emails I will take email from and then need to figure out how to get my
iPhone to see it the same way. Any help would be appreciated....

All Email going to spam
Hie,
Found that all my email will go to spam/junk folder.
Previously having mcafee but removed it though.
Now having AVG and have remove it though.
Have checked through the settings in Vista junk email option and
nothing suspicious.
What might have gone wrong??

Sending group emails
Is there a way to send group emails using the TO: so the nickname shows not
the address?
If I use BCC, some programs will block the emails since the person's name is
not showing. I need to send lots of group emails to fellow workers. If I put
my name in the TO and theirs in the BCC then some never receive them. If I

Recovered Messages Folder
So the other day I had a problem, I had a bad email stuck in my outbox. SO I
followed the steps below:
If you are not willing to just ignore them, the only way is to delete both
copies of the database (which does not contain the messages, but only
references to them) and let WinMail rebuild it. First close WinMail, then use
Task Manager to make sure there are no instances of it under a...

Can't send was working ok 0x800CCC0E
Windows Mail was working totally fine. Started it up one day couldn't send
(recieve ok) got the following error message:

Unable to sort on last name in Windows Mail
I've moved from Outlook Express 6 to Windows Mail with Windows Vista.
The Outlook Express Address Book has been replaced by Windows Contacts.
I want to sort Contacts by Last Name but no matter what I do the Contacts
always view as sorted by First Name.
I'd appreciate any advice on how to fix this.

Migrate Outlook Express newsgroup messages
Is there any way to migrate all NEWS messages from Outlook Express to
Windows Mail?
I copied all the files from the Idenitity directory but I do not know
how to import the new messages into Windows Mail.
I also migrated all existing news accounts but I do not know how to
migrate the actual news messages.

Problem solved
Wanted to thank R.C. White, Beverly Goebel and "Bob J' for their suggestions
to get my out-box "unstuck." I downloaded the oehelp smutil, uninstalled
McAfee, and installed Avast. Before installing Avast, the utility button
"clear outbook" wouldn't work. Afterwards, it did. So nice to finally have
resolution. So nice to learn about these resources.

I am wonder if anyone could point me in the corrrect direction of how to

I just purchased a new desk top and can't get the email to let me transfer
my email from my old computer to the new one...what do I need to do? I may
not even get this email back, hopefully my daughter has my old one in her
room. The old one would let me switch users on the email this one won't
