I can't send/receive messages in my Windows Mail? Please help ASAP
Hello can anyone please help me figure out why i can't send/receive my email
messages? This was working just fine on Friday and now this morning I can't
recieve anything. The error message that I receive is:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for

Can't empty delted items
Actually the problem is can't empty message headers. Tried the WMutil and all
other suggestions from this forum. I did succeed in corrupting the msstore
data base. The empty deleted on exit also quit working. I now have 202
message headers in my deleted box. The newer ones I can delete. I also
discovered some item that says "Message can not be found" (Header still

instant messenger information in contacts
is there any way edit instant messenger names for windows contacts? maybe
they left this tag out of the .contact, but there is still an instant
messenger sort option from the organize drop down menu....

Borland Database Engine Stopping Microsoft Outlook from Working
I bought a new laptop with Windows Vista Home Basic o/s. I was able to
install a Microsoft Outlook 2007 on it and it was working nicely. Then I

slow windows mail
I asked how i can speed up windows mail and was referred to a website to
download winmail.reg, which i did, i then merged it like it said to. Not
only did it not work, it now not only doesnt spped up the download of the

Re contacts
Can anyone help me with easy to follow instructions on how i can get all my
emails and contacts from my old pc (with outlook express) to my new pc with
windows mail.
Nothing came over when i carried out the easy transfer process from pc to pc
using a usb cable.
Please anyone replying - treat me as a computer idito and spell it out for
me in basic terms!!!!

un able to delete mail
hi all.
Recently tried to delete all non important emails in the usual fashion but
since then some of the emails / recipitents / addresses got all mixed up!!!
Since removing as much as possible i am left with over a dozen emails that
will not delete as it says 'message could not be displayed' then 'an unknown
error has occured'.
Could do with some help please as still learning!

Windows Mail Won't Even Open
New Dell with Vista basic, used the trial version 2003 Outlook, trial
expires, I lose e-mail capability.
I decide to use windows mail, click on windows mail, it imediately goes

Vista and XP
Need to know if I can access my Windows Mail on my laptop that runs XP and
OE. I use the laptop when I am out of town.

Yenc, wmv and mpg files
When I had Outlook Express with Windows XP, I had no problem viewing wmv or
mpg files, now I have Windows Vista and I am not able to view these any more?
Also what is Yenc? it is in my newsgroup, and I am not able to view them? ...

Using my web mail
Ok so I am unable to send messages using windows mail. I have read many posts
that said to uninstall Norton and McAfee and use AVAST while telling it not
to scan e-mails. I have done all of this. I am still unable to send emails
and while I'm sure eventually i could figure it out...ok probably not, I
would rather just go back to using my yahoo account. Unfortunatelly when I

Unknown error
Using Windows Mail I encounter a problem as follows:
There are two incoming mails which can't be opened. At the attempt I get the
message "Unknown error" (in fact in German "Unbekannter Fehler"). I can't
delete those mails either. Again I get the same error message. How could I
possibly at least delete those mails?...

Windows Mail problems
1. Under options/general, I have "Send and receive messages at startup"
checked. But it only does this the first time I bring up Windows Mail after
bringing up windows. If I exit Windows Mail and bring it up later, it does
not check for new email.
2. Under options/advanced/maintenance, I have "Delete news messages 15 days
after being downloaded" but after a month, it doesn't appear to h...

Sent e-mail can not be re-plied to
I can sent an e-mail, but the recipient can not use the re-ply to contact me.
If he writes a new e-mail to me, it comes through ok.

Deleted Items Folder again
Hi gurus out there,
In Tools/Options/Advanced/Maintenance, I have Empty messages from the
Deleted Items folder on exit checked.
This does in fact happen on exiting WM via the X icon, but does not happen
when I leave WM via Shutdown. Is this normal behaviour or should the Deleted
Items folder empty on Shutdown? (It used to empty on shutdown under WinME)

Can I access an existing Outlook Express account with Windows Mail?
I just got a new laptop computer at work (a Dell Inspiron 1501), and I need
to be able to access my supervisor's Outlook Express account on this
computer, but it only has Windows Mail. Is there a way to access an
existing account on Outlook Express through Windows Mail, or do I need to
buy Outlook Express and install it on this computer?

Outbox do not send messages
I cant send email because my Outbox has a message that "message could not be

autofill in address not working
When I type in the name of a mail recipient the name does autofill as
I type the first few letters even though the address is stored in my
address book. Is there an option I am missing to turn this on? The
strange thing is it does work most of the time.

why does windows ask me for username and password when i am sending new
messages. If they are put in when i set up my email program, why is it asking

Transfer emails from old PC to new PC
I have posted several msgs and got myself all tied up in knots.
Almost certainly I have given wrong info to start with, which meant the
replies weren't what I needed?

Transfer all my old emails and contacts from my old PC to my new PC.
