Question about clean installing with upgrade media
Its common knowledge now that you can do a clean install of Vista with
upgrade media. My question is, if you do have a previous copy of XP, is it
legal to do this method. Would you get thwarted by Activation or WGA?
I really do not want to go and have an unclean install of Vista from the
upgrade, though I guess I could get it as nice and clean as possible by
installing Vista and nothing...

New laptop with Vista
Can I install XP on my new laptop that came with Vista? This is the WORST OS
I have ever worked with! I have had nothing but trouble since I bought it.
Bill Gates needs to be taken to task for releasing this bug ridden piece of
crap before it was ready. I guess the allmighty dollar wins again....

Hi, an over middle aged (not elderly) friend of mine bought a Toshiba laptop
recently. Another friend of hers set it up for her and created all the
accounts, but she is unable to login as the password she thought she had
doesn't work. She has tried a number of times to log-in ... clicking
everywhere including the "Reset Password" link under her user name.
Late last night we tried using ...

Install on 2nd partition , dual boot with XP?
How advisable/inadvisable is it to setup an extended partition on my
HDD and install Vista on that one. My current OS is XP Pro, and I want
to still be able to use it on a regular basis, while testing Vista in
the field occasionally. Therefore my best solution if it is known to
work well, is to setup Vista on a secondary partition and have a boot
choice when I power on.
Any known major pro...

Can't fin driver for HP DeskJet 880C any longer ?
Hi
I have a HP DeskJet 880C printer. When I upgraded Windows XP to Windows

Unfortunately I deleted the printer by error. Now VISTA can't find the

I don't understand that. How can the driver disappear ? Can it have been
deleted during a Disk Cleanup ?
What can I do now to reinstall th...

Clean Install of Vista From Upgrade
I had previously upgraded to Vista Home basic which I purchased as a download

Thanks in advance,...

Calendar - change 30-minute increment display
One problem I have with Vista's calendar (32-bit, French version), is that
the display is in 30-minute increments. I would like to be able to divide
each hour into 15-minute increments (which would be a lot handier for my
scheduling - Outlook has such an option). If anybody has some ideas on how to
change this feature on the Vista calendar, I would sure appreciate them.
Thanks.

Transfer Vista activation
Hi,
I bought a home premium upgrade for my xp media centre PC. Having installed

Have now bought a lap top with home basic and would like to upgrade it to

activation key.
I'll then restore the media centre PC back to XP.
How can I do this....
Thanks

Installed Vista; how do I move the files?
I have a machine which I've made from parts of an older PC. Everything in
