unattended Upgrade
I have a working unattended install, but as an install, it wipes all the
previous XP Pro data (users, programs, Domain etc etc).
I know from

that upgrade is possible, but I cannot fathom where to place this XML in the
autounattend.xml, or to instruct an upgrade via WSIM.

MSDN Product Keys
Hi,
I have a computer that had a full set of Vista versions installed, and each
one Ghosted to a .GHO File.
The problem is the motheboard has now stopped working and I think that I may
have lost 5 MSDN keys as each one was activated,

Install Windows Vista from USB key
Hello,

Vista loads with BSOD and reboots endless cycle
I installed Vista on a laptop and it BSOD and then reboots, the BSOD appears
for only a second , which is not enough time for me to see what the error is
and then reboots... I can't currently launch windows , but can i boot off a
cd and change a setting to allow the BSOD to appear on the screen so i can
see what it says?
Any help would be great..

Every time I go into window or any other program it asks for a product key #
I enter the product key number but ithen it gaves me a message "The key is

Hangs after 1st reboot on Intel DQ965GF
Got a new build with the Intel DQ965GF board that's using all of the
onboard hardware (gigabit NIC, HD Audio, Video and a TPM module). What
happens is that after Vista has expanded the files and reboots the
first time, it hard locks (Hangs). I have managed to get it to use
safemode but and it shows what's being loaded but again it hangs but

Can't UNINSTALL Microsoft Office Small Business 2007
I go to control panel -> Programs and features -> click on Microsoft Office
small business 2007 and click UNINSTALL
I get setus error "the language of this installation package is not

Intel raid and Vista upgrade
I have just upgraded from XP pro to Vista business but have not been able to
carry over the Raid1 configuration that worked fine on XP.
The raid controller is Intel ICH8R-based. At a point in the upgrade a
re-boot failed with STOP 0x0000007B. The only way to progress was to
disconnect one of the raid disks and disable Raid mode in the Bios. The
system then resumed the updrade.

Windows Vista Re-activation for the Hearing Impaired
Unfortunately, some of us do not have the option of phoning big brother to
ask if it's OK for us to use our legitimate copy of Windows Vista. I am deaf
and need to re-activate my copy of Windows Vista Home Premium (retail) after

New Vista Ultimate Installation
I can no longer use the "Restart" option: neither from the Start menu, nor
from an installation dialogue requiring a restart. The PC shows a lot of hard
drive activity, shuts down Windows, shows a black screen and a hard drive
light, but then does nothing more. The only solution (so far...) is to power
off the computer and power it back on. System specs as follows:

I am getting ready to upgrade to Vista and running the "Advisor"..
I keep getting an incompatible software that I am suppose to uninstall before
upgrade.
The problem is I cannot find this program anywhere on my system.
It is Sonic.slo.bump.

in my ignorance i had installed linux onto my vista laptop last night,
looking back on it now, i really want vista back, I've got the product key on
the sticker on my laptop but, my computer didn't come with a boot disk, how
do i get vista back on it without having to spend a hundred dollars on vista
again?...

Upgrade Advice.
Can anyone give me some advice on upgrading from an XP machine to Vista.
The machine is completely capable hardware wise (2gb RAM, Big HD, Dual Core
processor, Nvidia 7600 GT graphics card) but when I tried to do the upgrade
all that happened on the first boot up after all the file transfer /
installation process were complete was a very fleeting glimpse of a BSOD and
instant re-boot.

Live One Care
I recently upgraded to Vista from XP. The upgrade went well--my DSL

When I received my new computer with Vista Business I registered the Windows
