Sysprep answer file.....WHY!?!?!?
Hello,
I'm still trying to get Windows Vista to work with the answer file I built
and so I did a little bit of research and found an article that basically
said that the XML file has 7 passes but it only pays attention to pass 4
(specialize) and pass 7 (OOBE). Also, this article mentions that certain
settings have to be put in certain passes for them to work. I have not tried
any of...

I have a couple of odd problems:
I took an existing XP computer and Installed Vista Home Premium. The C:
drive for the XP install was on a small disk so I added a new disk to install
Vista on. I made sure the BIOS was set to boot from the larger disk when I
performed the install. After the install and I moved everything off of the
smaller disk I wanted to keep and removed the disk. ...

Dual boot Vista modifying XP registry?
I have - and can replicate (I've managed it 3 times) - a problem whereby
Vista Media Extender installation/setup modifies a Windows XP registry
install key. The XP install is on a master drive and the Vista install is on
a slave drive. The key that is modified prevents the XP Welcome Screen and
fast user switching (the Ginadll entry in the XP Winlogon key). I've tried
