How to uninstall Windows Vista components
I work everyday with windows vista, but as I did with WinXP, there are
some components that comes after installing that I no longer or never
used so I used the "Add/Remove programs" option in WinXP to uninstall
some of those components.
I'd like to do the same on Windows Vista but I did not found the way.
I'd like to uninstall/remove some components like Windows Media Center
or PhotoGaller...

Cannot start control panel
I just found the control panel cannot be started.
Today I noticed the memory monitor showed 94% of my 1.5G memory are occupied
which I believe is not correct since I was not running many programs. But
after I restart the computer and try to open control panel, a blank explorer
window showed up and closed automatically after a while. I tried a few times,
but cannot start control panel at ...

Unable to downstream video using Internet Explorer to access Windo
Question
I'm running Vista with Windows Media Player 11. When I attempt to
downstream
video from a website using Internet Explorer to open WMP, I get the page
"Internet Explorer is unable to access this website".
The only way to view the video is to first download (save) to my desktop.
It will then open WMP. This extra step is a wast of time.
Does anyone have a fix for this...

Vista cursors
I'm embarrassed to ask this, but I can't find a way to remove a shadowed
cursor set in Vista Home Premium. The cursor is driving me crazy.
I also wonder how the cursor changed form and added the shadows. It happened
while I was on the Internet today, leading me to wonder if that patch for
the ANI vulnerability might not be 100% effective. That's probably paranoia,
but I would appreciate...

More info on Linux/Ubuntu
Critics argue that since Linux®/Ubuntu is an open-source program, it is
unstable and useless for any mission-critical activities. This has been
largely proven in recent studies by wholly objective reviewers not paid off
by Microsoft in any disclosed way. Besides, some critics also stated that
Linux is part of a global communist conspiracy to destroy capitalism by
taking over Wall street ...

Autoexec.bat not working at restart
In Vista, I have a SUBST command in the C:\autoexec.bat file to assign a

assignment is not created after a restart. (I am logged in as the
administrator.)
This is a brand new Vista box (and my first exposure to Vista). Should the
drive assignment work?...

Step 2

Its New!!
Vista is comparatively new. We must give it a go and try not to constantly
compare it with what went before. Microsoft said that it would run lots of
maintenance programs in the background. One because people want to get on
with other computing tasks while carrying out mundane maintenance, but
perhaps more importantly, because MS knew so many people would never carry
these tasks out, if ...

Outlook 2007 will not shut down in Vista
Hi,
Whenever I click on the "X" in Outlook 2007, or go File/Exit, OUTLOOK.EXE
actually stay loaded in the Windows Task Manager. This is annoying as my wife
and I share the PST files over a network, on two different computers. It is
the only thing that prevents this from working 100%. On my wife's XP Pro
computer this is not an issue.
I have found on the WWW that I am not alone in hav...
