Start menu confusion: where are the shortcuts stored?
My Vista Start Menu is a disaster ever since I went into a directory to
re-arrange it (I like to merge items into broader categories ex. Utilities,
to clean up the default start menu). I want to do this so all users
profiles are affected (I would prefer one start menu for all users). I now
have duplicate start menu items that cannot be deleted or moved??

New Microsoft updates wiped out "Favorites" Button on web pages
The newly released Vista updates have wiped out my Favorites button (star)

Windows Media Centre
Hello All,
I've recently bought a new PC with Vista Home Premium and Windows Media
Centre already installed. The problem that I am having is that Media Centre
will not read any of my pictures. I've tried the Help & Support advice, but
that doesn't help. I've tried changing the 'file save as' type, also to no
avail.

1406 error when installing Acrobat 8
I have been trying to install Acrobet 8 with the Creative Suite Premium
suite. Everything installs fine except Acrobat. The current message is
Product: Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional -- Error 1406.Could not write value

Resized window off monitor screen, and can't move back to viewing
Resized Media Center window and inadvertently moved it off-screen. I've
tried using the "move" option on the taskbar tab to no avail. The
multi-directional arrow appears, but can't grab anything. My "minimized"
Media Center window seems permanently stuck off-screen!
I can only use it maximized, which of course is not what I want to do.

Lost Internet To Game

VISTA Business : No home network

Folder Views constantly changing
I have both a Vista 32 Bit and 64 Bit box both with the same annoying trait,
that is no matter what folder view you set in always at some point changes to
something completly different.
For example a music folder set to Music Details in Deatils View will change
to Large Icons or a root folder set to All Items will change to Music Details.

Windows Vista Sleep Issues
i currently have a p5b vista premium Asus motherboard. whenever i put it into
sleep mode, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. when i try, it goes
sort of into a half sleep mode and cannot awaken from it. i have to hard
reboot the computer. i called asus tech support and they wont help my
because they said the problem is with Vista and not the motherboard.

Dual booting vista 32 and vista 64
So is it possible to dual boot vista 32 and 64? I have equipment that
will only work in 32 bit but I have some 64 bit apps. So, it would be
cool to have the choice.
I also only have one DVD copy and one licence. It's vista home premium.

No login Prompt available!!
Yesturday my laptop was fine I was on it like normal.. it then went to sleep
mode and i tried to turn it back on, but when i did the prompt that asks for
your password to enter windows did not come up. And i've restarted it about
30 checked the battery and everything and still not password prompt!
Does anyone know what is going on and how i can fix it.... by trying to
avoid the restore...

Printing Problem and Solution
Printing with Reader 8, HP Deskjet 5150 and Vista didn't work. The
text DID NOT print. It appeared that graphics was printing and text
was not because most text on a page was simply missing.
I found a "workaround" by printing using the "Fast Draft" quality
setting in the printer properties.
