Hooo NO !!! Why Explorer.exe is suddenly taking 100% CPU !??!?
Hi,
Very strange.
I'm running Vista pretty well since some months. Stop my notebook yesterday
night and restart this morning !
Result ? Explorer is taking 100 CPU !!!
I can launch a program like word using a shortcut but no way to use
explorer. I mean the Vista task bar, quick launch, or Vista logo to go to
"All programs" !!
Yes I made some test and rebuild !! (CHKDSK /R/P/F 3 times...

Vista = Total Joke.
64bit Ultimate, on a Core 2 Duo E6600, 2GB of RAM.
A very sensible spec PC, the friggin thing can't even play the MP4
Killzone trailer without stuttering and locking up.
Back to XP I think Vista is total junk. I can't believe Microsoft had the
nerve to even consider this fit for release. What were they thinking..

System-stopping flaw...
There have been one other message, but this is the one that shows up every
time after I unchecked 'automatic restart';
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
What does this mean?
Memory-related? As in 'manufacturer installed Vista, then did not add
sufficient memory to run anything -besides- that'?
Or something else, hopefully something I can fix without going into the guts
of the machine?

Herstelpunt gebruiken lukt niet
Werkt er eigenlijk wel iets met vista?
Ik heb de problemen met het niet meer kunnen verwijderen van mail uit de map
verwijderd items. Komt dus meer voor. Maar als ik een herstel punt gebruik
krijg ik ook al een foutmelding.
Ik probeer mbv een herstelpunt mijn laptop opnieuw te herstellen. Maar na
het opstarten geeft hij aan dat er een onbekende fout is opgetreden. Komt dit
bekend voor??...

Printing from the internet
I bought a new computer and it already has Vista installed from the
manufacturer. I installed the computer and was able to print from whatever
source that I needed to, but today all of a sudden I can not print from the
internet; it gives me a "Scripts Error" message. Can someone help me with
this problem?

Colors are off in Windows Photo Gallery
If I open a photo in Windows Photo Gallery, the background of the window has
a light green tint and the photos are dark and off color.
If I open the same photo file in MS Office Picture Manager, the picture
looks the way I Expect it to look.
I there a way to adjust the basic color settings of Windows Photo Gallery to
get a basic white background and my pictures the way I think they should ...

How to find program options page?
I turned on my newer laptop and had an ERROR message that stated...
"could not locate a valid definitions file. Please go to the programs option
page
and click "update definitions" to download a definitions file..
** How do I locate this program option page? where is it and can someone

Display problems
Hi All
I have a wierd problem with Vista or maybe display drivers. System is an
intel E6700, 2G RAM, NX8500GT video card, Vista Home premium running a 24"
Delll LCD on VGA. Problem is about every 10th boot the system boots up ok
but the desktop is all wrong, imagine splitting the desktop into two havles

Vista diagnostic Performance
Hi,
I just bough new HP Tablet PC TC4400 (Intel dual core, 2 gb ram)
I always get warning or error message in "Diagnostic Performance - Operation"
It says
Some drivers or services caused a delay during standby / shutdown/ boot
Is it normal ? I turn off "Aero" but it doesnot help.
Any suggestion ?

pandasoftware
I have changed my computer, now I own a Windows Vista one. I installed the
antivirus Pandasoftware on it. After I installed the program, i right clicked
on its icon to add it to start list. Now when I power on the compuer there is

Uninstalling Vista Home Premium

Guys when I size a box i,.e control panel I get the fancy see through aero
glass effect, but when I click the square to make it fullscreen the top

WMM can't Publish~
Each time I try to publish my video from windows movie maker (Windows Vista
of course), after choosing the destination folder and click "publish, the
program freezes, then closes. This happens each and every time. I tried
changing the destination folder, changing the file name, but none works. Is
there some sort of patch for this or anything? Thanks for the help....

NTFS Permissions on System Folders in Vista
How does one go about modifying the persmissions on a system folder in Vista?
I have an application that, after installing, I need to add a user to the
System32 folder.
I'm logged in as a local admin and have UAC on, but the Add button is greyed
out if I go into Properties-->Security-->Edit.
How do I do this? Any help would be much appreciated.

I have received this error code when trying to install Security Update for
Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service pack 1 (KB929729) on a Vista
