cross platform gaming
Word has it that Vista came out with being able to play with xbox 360 users.
When will this happen? and also will you be able to do it with the current
game titles, such as GRAW and GRAW2 that is out for both platforms? Halo and
Halo2? Prey? Or when this happens, will they make games specifically for this?...

BSOD error (blue screen of death) Igdkmd32.sys on start or game
A good friend of mine recently purchased a laptop with Vista preloaded on it.
She has several games that is of course not compatible, (works on XP, but not
on Vista) but some that is made for "95 and 98" of all things, and works.
Well, she has never had one throw up a BSOD, and so I was wondering if it was

Now Vista won't play Sims 2 + ep?
I bought a new Dell XPS 210 about 6 weeks ago and after a month the HD was
found to be defective. I got the new one and got help installing it. Before
the new hard drive I could play Sims 2 and all the expansion just fine. Now,
when I go to install, each expansion starts to install, asks for the second
disk if there is one, and then when it asks for disk 1 to be put back in to
finish ...

Delta Force Blackhawk Down T/S pinger
this program is used With a no cd patch to bypass the novalogic server and go
straight to a spacific server or find which server your friends in.I have it
installed and running well sortof.It works fine finding servers but I get an
error ( DFBHDEXE not found) when I try to join .. Is this a Vista
compatibillity problem?If it is, is there a patch 4 it...

Whats Running In The Background? Help:
I'm running Vista Ultimate Full version and downloaded the "CPU and
Memory" monitor and it keeps showing that something is running in the
background and is using 35% of memory.
How can I check in Vista to see what is doing this.

When I click on any of Vista games (chess titan, inkball) I get an error
message
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this

Where did my games go?
After upgrading to vista business edition, all my games in the games folder
seemed to have disappeared and left behind only a "games explorer". i opened
that up, and nothing's there. So uh guys, where the hell are my games?...

My computer came with Windows Vista and now I can't play my games..
I purchased a new laptop (after diligently looking for one with XP) and
SURPISE, microsoft is dominating the market again by making a system that is
completely incompatible for all of my games. Tried to install Sims2, won't
even recognize the disk, diablo 2 won't run, and Last Chaos? Nope. Only thing
that runs is FFXI. Is there ANY way I can remove Vista and run XP? I tried
the program compat...

GameGuard and Vista Ultimate
GameGuard is an anti-cheat program in lots of online games, like Lineage2.
The problem is that it cannot connect to server from computers with Vista
Ultimate. When running the game from Win XP everything's ok, but I need it to
work with Vista....

SWKOTOR II
Starwars Knights of the old republic II (the Sith Lords)
Had a hard time even seeing the CD to install it, but once it did I had
to install using " run as Administrator" to install. Played the game
after all the upgrades for awhile and it worked great, today the
launcher opens but can't start the game.
Any simular problems?
Anyone get it to work without doing anythng at all?

Sid Meier's Pirates!
Uhm...okay, it installed (seemingly) just fine. When I hit my desktop icon
to play (with the correct disk in the drive) I get an "incorrect disk in
drive" error message. I've been running this game on XP with no problems
whatever, and just (today) got a machine with Vista on it. So, I have no
idea where to look or what to do, or if anything at all can be done. HELP.

Tiger Woods 2007 + NVIDIA + Vista
Newest driver fixed problems I was having--if you meet the above 3 criteria
and were having trouble running TW2007 in windows vista try beta driver
version 165.01.

I/O devive error
I am currently trying to install the sims complete edition, and keep getting

FIFA acts as if in slo-mo
I've just bought a new PC, theoretically more powerful than my old one (AMD
64 X2 5000, 2048 MB RAM, ATI Radeon X1650 Pro 512 MB PCI-X), running Vista

Vista Long boot times after FSX crashed due to DEP
I have installed a fresh new copy of VISTA ULTIMATE and FSX. When using FSX
it has been crashing lately and the DEP (DATA EXECUTION PROTECTION is being
activated). When I visit the VISTA CONTROL PANEL for DEP it does not allow me
to add FSX to the safe list. Sometimes I even get the BSOD and my computer

How to migrate current game state from xp?
I'd appreciate to know some links explaining how to setup a fresh fsx install
on vista, having the game already in progress on xp sp2 in order to match the
current game state before uninstalling from the older system.
(game state meaning rewards, missions, ...to be able to go on without
noticing any difference).
Is it possible, did anybody succeed in doing that?

Parental Controls Pin Problem
I am the administrator and only user on my computer and i just bought the
BEJEWELED 2 DELUXE game off the HP game console and after downloading it and
paying for it i tried to play it and it says my parental controls have locked

Vista and Lord of the Rings Online
Overall poor performance with this game. I have a custom machine... AMD X2
4400+ on an Asus nForce 4 SLI Premium board with 2Gigs of corsair RAM and a
nVidia GeForce 7800GTX 256. A few issues come up:
Graphical performance - likely driver linked but I'll put it here anyway.
Initially, poor FPS. With latest driver, FPS issues addressed, however now
some graphics randomly become corrupted...

LOSING TASK BAR AND SIDE BAR
I am dual booting with XP so no chance of keeping system restore. I am
still mainly using XP. So after not having used Vista for 3 weeks I booted
into Vista and have lost my taskbar and side bar with my widgets. How do I
get them back. It happened the last time as well and used Acronis backup to
get back my settings. There has to be an easier way.
Any help please??
