Windows Vista Freecell
Besides telling my wife not to play it so much, what is going on with this
thing? She plays 5 or 6 games and the screen goes white and she hards to
power off and on.
Or is is a Vista problem not specific to games...

DoW DC - spooge driver not found.
Dawn of War Dark Crusade has troubles looking for Spooge driver somewher in
DirectX.
'System Initialization Failed!
ERRORS:
Spooge driver not found. Verify that DirectX is properly installed.'
It said.
I try install DirectX through the game disc, 9.0c. It doesn't work out, so I
go to other games, Star Wars: Battlefront 2, Empire at War for 9.0c
installion. It does work out install...

cant get any games to run on vista 64bit. HELP!
I just installed vista 64bit and when i try to run steam games or c&c 3 demo
the screen goes realy blury, if i try alt-f4 nothing happens, alt-tab jus
changes the blur to a green blur. ive updated all the drivers and searched
for answers but cant find anything. im running a amd 64 x2 2.21 ghz cpu,
3071 mb of ram and an asus a8n32-sli motherboard...

Vista Games
I have discovered that if you run the software after checking the run as
administrator it will load for you. Does not solve all problems though. I
am still working on games that won't run because of the 64 bit etc.. but it's
something...

problem opeing cheatengine(cheatengine.org)
ok im having trouble getting cheatengine to work the creator(along with
others) said for it to work on vista said you need to get class 3 id
certificate to sign the drivers so it will work whos dumbass idea was this i
relize it was to help protect agest virus but give us the fricking option to
turn it off if you ask me its retarded we have to this to use programs that
arent signed...

Application compatability pack?
Hi!
I'm trying to get C&C Generals working on Vista and many people have said
that the Application Comatability Pack from Windows Update has the fix to
this. However, I can't seem to find it anywhere on the Windows Update client,
it hasn't been installed recently and if I try to install it manually then it
says it's not needed on this system or something like that. Am I doing
somethin...

DirectSound 3D over Dolby Digital 5.1?
I bought a new PC with Vista, and I'm interested in gaming on my HDTV. I have
an Asus P5B Motherboard with integrated audio. I'm able to output in 5.1 with
DirectSound 3D when I use the 3 speaker plugs on the back, but it doesn't
output over the fiberoptic cable with Dolby Digital... It will for the
Windows test, but not with DirectSound 3D. Can anyone do that? What sound
hardware do you...

problems with Half Life 2: Deathmatch
Hello.
I'm having some problems with half life 2: deathmatch, and some other games
aswell:
I start the game, and it starts nicely and stuff, i get to play for some
time(like 5 mins) and then my graphic card just crashes.... id like to know
what to do to repair it.
My system specs are:

Installing Sims 2
I have recently installed the Sims 2. There are three users on the system and
each user seems to use the same game i.e. if I play the game and save, the
next user goes into the same game and doesn't seem to be able to play their
own game. I can't see any way of saving individual games and then playing the
requested game. I am running Windows Vista and I had to download a patch from
Maxis...

Slow loading
Im having issues on loading my maps slow, but my FPS is great around 50-70
but my load times are horrible takes me about a minute to join and my friend
has almost exactly same computer but his load in like 7 seconds. i play FEAR
combat and Savage Battle For Newerth. anybody have any suggestions on how to
make the computer load faster?...

THE SIMS ONLINE
Does anyone know if The sims online works with Vista? I downloaded fine but
when it finishes and takes me to the page to go to the city it says
connection failed. I go to the icon on my desk top to sign back in and
nothing happens. I've changed compatability for it to play on Service Pack 2
but still no go. I've downloaded twice and it still doesnt work. Any

PC Games & XBox 360 Controller
I've had the XBox 360 controller laying around for so long time now, I

Where are my save game files
Can anyone help, I have just installed Neverwinter Nights 2 and played for a
while. Upon saving my game, the file goes into the Documents folder instead
of the Vista "save games" folder.
What can I do? This confuses the me to why it would do this, is there a
manual way to tell a game where to save its files? Because I can't even get
it to save in its own install directory.

Halo BoxArt not appearing
I installed Halo: Combat Evolved and connected to the internet and it has
been a day and no box art has downloaded but all the other information has.
I checked the registry and looked under the BoxArt key and found a url that

Flight Sim X Crash
I am experiencing a problem in Flight Sim X that has just started recently
for unexplained reasons; I wasn't having this problem initially but it seems
to have developed for no explained reason.
In Flight Sim X, if I go into instant replay and select any amount of time
on the replay clock and then click "OK" to initiate the replay, it crashes

Final Fantasy XI on Vista Business 32 bit
For some reason, whenever I try using the config tool on vista for FFXI, it
just ubruptly crashes before it even starts. I click on the icon and then
the "search online for this problem" dialog box pops up. And when I try to
search online, nothing comes up.
Has anyone else experienced problems with the config tool in Vista?
