Search inside files skips php files?
I have thousands of html, javascript and php files and I'm looking for files
that contain a specific string. If I search the folder containing the files I
can see all the .html and .js files but the search doesn't show any of the
..php files even though there are plenty of files with the string inside.
How can I force the search to look inside php files. I've already added .php
to the i...

Recent Items not updating
The Recent Items list in Vista was working fine. I'm not sure what caused
the problem, but I noticed it stopped updating around the same time I
compressed a number of folders.
When I tried "Clear Recent Items List' by right-clicking on "Recent Items"
in the start menu it would hang and I'd have to restart Windows to get it
back. I finaly got it cleared by turning off the option altogeth...

Vista can't find file butimmediately does so!
This seems to be unique to Firefox; IE and Safari don't do it - but it's
Firefox I want to use!
In Vista click on any .htm file - Box appears: "Windows cannot find
'D:\file.htm'. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again" and
a ping sounds - The .htm file immediately opens and the box remains until its
OK button is pressed. Very irritating! So how to stop it?...

Error 0x800705AD insufficient quota
Error 0x800705AD insufficient quota to complete reqd service
What does this mean and how do I fix it?
I have had this message frequently when transferring files to/from a
networked USB device (camera, external HDD), and think it has something to
do with Vista's stupid paranoid permissions.
When this error occurs (or sometimes even if it doesn't) when you are
copying from a camera co...

windows easy reansfer

William R Something I did and can not or do not know how to fix in
Vista. I went to Accessories, System Tools, then Easy Transfer. I wanted to
put my files on my remote hard drive via the USB connection as a backup. The
transfer failed, now I have a 6.53GB file on my Desk Top called SAVE DATA. I
plan to get a program to help in the future. For now, can I delete this file

Customizing Windows Explorer toolbars
Just installed Vista. Not terribly wild about it so far. Willing to give it a
chance, though.
On Windows Explorer, what has happened to the ability to customize the
toolbars? I used to be able to add cut/copy/paste/delete icons to the
toolbar. Saved time, added convenience. Doesn't appear to be there anymore.
Am I missing something? Is there some whole new concept of how I should be
