I did the backup via Vista's built in backup utility. I recently added a Raidsonic NAS900 Harddrive to my router with the goal to backup various files from my PC. To copy/sync files from my PC to the NAS I use MS SyncToy. Problem is when I compare the synced folders in Explorer I get different sizes and amount of files, while it should be extactly the same. The search finds the files which I have then deleted. However there is one that is found by search every time. When I try to delete it says the file does not exist. Any advice? After I did a disk defragment in Windows Vista Home Premium, the Computer window view changed to simple icons view, no longer in categories view like the default setting. Here is the setup: I have a home network. On the Vista system I use START RUN and type in the name of the XP system (ex: system1). Using Windows explorer on the Vista system I drag the file from the source... 8 09.06.2007 14:07:56 Location of "Documents" folder - moving to a network drive I just noticed a strange problem.... if I move the "Documents" folder on my Vista machine to point to my network home directory, it renames my home directory on the server to "Documents" - at least it appears to. Once I start navigating deeper into the structure it calls it the real name which is my username.
