Swiching licensing modes
We currently have 3 Win2003 TSvrs set to per device licensing and per device
licenses installed in the LSvr. The same users are now roaming and accessing
from different clients so per user licensing would seem more appropriate.
Reading through various post on this the steps seem to be:
(1) Switch TSvrs to per users
(2) Contact MS to get CALs reissued and reinstall them as per user (we have...

I work for a large organization that has had only one physical
location so only the default first site name is in use. We are
branching out to multiple locations and I want to implement sites for
replication and authentication considerations.
We have over 200 Citrix/TS servers in our environment so I don't want

imaging an existing TS server
I have checked Vera’s weblink about imaging a terminal server:
http://ts.veranoest.net/ts_faq.htm#Ghost
I am confused on how to accomplish step 6:
Change from domain to workgroup..
At that point the network cable is unplugged..
I will try this tomorrow on a test machine..
But just thinking about this I am wondering how can this be done without
linking with a domain controller...

Issue with Terminal Services for Remote Admin on Windows 2003 64-b
Folks, I have recently received a few Windows 2003 x64 servers to support,
and I have run into some very strange issues with Terminal services for
Remote administration.
Often what happens is after a reboot, I am unable to access the server and I
end up having to logon through a remote mgmt interface and reboot the server
(server has been secured to the point I can't use MS tools to reb...

TS 2003 R2 SP2 Enterprise
This is probably more of a DISK / NFTS / DFSR question but the servers
primary roles are Terminal Servers so i thought why not.
Basically the servers hang from 5 to 5 mins when ever i perform large file
or more specifically many file operations. E.g. if i copy a folder with 100
1MB files and start about 4 to 5 instances of the copy operation at the same
time, it will cause the problem....

Terminal Services and CAT Authentication trying to connect
Hi,
We would like to connect the Windows Terminal Server access/login to
the CAT Strong Authentication.
The CAT (Cellular Authentication Token) has a Radius server support
and can receive Radius Authentication requests.
Can the Terminal server be "linked" to a Radius server ? Maybe through
IAS ?
Where can we find information (preferably a Step by Step guide...) to

It been ages since I did anything with TS and Citrix (Metafram 1.8 to be
precise). And a lot of my knowledge might be outdated for Windows Server
2003. Can someone point me to a good "best practices" article (something
fair prescriptive) for recommended settings. For example:
Should I still set my page file minimum and maximum to the same to prevent
