Difference in RDP 5.2 and RDP 5.0
Hi, There,
We enabled TS for IE access only on Windows 2003 SP (RDP 5.2), our client
will access the web-based application system throught TS, All user was in
Remote Desktop group. The problem is all user can not run Crystal Report
Viewer ( ActiveX control) when they need generate some report document unless
I put them in administration group. And I even try to assign the remote

Server Floppy A: Redirect
Here's my config:
- ClientA: Windows XP Pro SP2 (RDP Client)
- ServerA: Windows 2003 Server SP2 (Terminal Server using 2 Admin
CAL's built into Windows)
If I RDP from ClientA into ServerA is there any way I can have
ServerA's floppy drive A: redirected to my remote ClientA floppy?

TS 2003 Redirect printer problem
My users are printing through terminal server 2003 with specific setting like
A4 paper, in black and white, etc. The printer setting on users PC will not
carry to TS session. Also, the default settings applied to local printer
using same driver on terminal server will not be used on TS session.
Therefore, users have to apply these settings on each session. However, these

changing the default fallback printer?
Hello
we have a W2003 ts ,people with multiple printers join to so i want to
install a UNIVERSAL driver
1 we use the fallback printer policy but HOW TO CHANGE THE DRIVER TO BE THE
NEW ONE? becouse all fallback printer are HP500 and thats don't really help
me.
2 Do this Universal drivers do the job?

Adobe Flash on Win2003 TermSrv
A security issue is keeping the Adobe flash portion of any website from being
disaplayed within a Termnal Server session. Any user in the Administrators
group can view the content without issue. Any ideas on tweaking the security
??

Is the server logon procedure in C:\windows\system32\USRLOGON.CMD being
executed in the user context or machine/system context ?

Printers show offline after service pack 2 applied.
We have several network printers that are installed on the terminal server
that show offline after service pack 2 was applied. Every printer worked
perfectly before service pack 2, now we have 12 printers that show offline
with no way of putting them back online. Anyone have a fix for this?...

Printing problem
Hi
I have 2 TS that serve alot of remote users.
Everything working very good, but I have problem with new printers (usb
printers)
Every new place that I"m connecting to my ts has different prinetr and some
of the users buy new printers.
What is the best way to configure the new pronter in my system, even if I

So far setup the following gpos:
Set path for TS roaming profiles
Do not check for user ownership of Roaming Profile Folders
Delete cached copies of roaming profiles

Terminal Server client display issues
Hi,
This one has me puzzled and I'm hoping someone can provide some insight
&/or suggestions on where to look next.
Background:
We have a Terminal Server (Windows Server 2003 EE R2 sp2, 2 dual core
Xeons, 8 gigs of ram) which usually has about 8-10 users on it. They connect

New TSClient to W2k3 AD Server

from install of new microsoft RDP client (From Windows Update, ver.
6.0.6000) I am unable to connect to my AD Server (Windows 2003, SP2). It

see local folder in locked environment
Hi all...I have a lockdown GPO on my Terminal server, and I have the option
to hide the local drives enabled. However, there is one folder on the local
drive that I need them to be able to see with Read only files. Is there a
way for me to accomplish that? They need to be able to see it on the "Open"
dialogue box of the Office apps....

printer problem
The local printer on the client(winxp,winCE) named 'ELTRON'
When the connection provided to Terminal Server(win2003Serv) it is added
automatically to the printers with the name of "WBT#ELTRON (THIN001) in
session 1" , and this name changes on every session.
To use the printer on the special software we use on Terminal Server, the
name of the printer should be permanent...

user profiles from 2000 to 2003
Hello,
In a week we are going to migrate a windows 2000 Terminal Server to a
windows 2003 Terminal Server.
For all applications i found solutions to migrate the software. But for
moving the current user profiles to the 2003 server i couldn't find a
solution yet.
Does anyone have a solution for that? Does microsoft has tools for that? or
.... ?

Terminal Svs. Roaming Profile
Currently, I creat the Roaming Profile folder manually and assign the path to
the Terminal Services tab in ADUC. I want to start using a GPO to do this
using the Terminal Services Profile Path setting. My question is this: If I
create this GPO, and use the same directory (share) that I currently use,

RDP client exits without error during login to 2003 server

We are having an issue with logging into TS from a desktop client. We have
2 forests, one internal, one on the DMZ. There is a one way trust between
these (dmz trusts internal). I have added internaldomain\domain admins to

Editing GP
I am currently setting up Server 2003 TS - non Domain.
We are currently running Win NT 4 TS running for the last 6 years in a
Domain atmosphere so I am used to it.
All users access by TS, In NT4 TS I could use "System Policy Editor" to

15 Minute disconnect?
We just took over maintenance for a client that uses terminals and a Win
2003 Terminal Server (Win 2003/application mode) and when they are in the
TS and then RD into another offices TS if they are idle for 15 minutes
the RD to the remote office disconnects.
The T/S at the remote office does not appear to have any settings for 15
