I want to evaluate Server 2008. I can't find a Server 2008 forum, but I believe the answer to my question should be the same as for Server 2003. My question is: which editions of Server allow me to remotely control the desktop? In particular, do the Standard and Web Server editions allow remote desktop control? Brief background: I want to try out the Server 2008 beta on a PC which do...

Can a user create a session from the TS to the TS from within a TS Session?
Hi, Just seen something weird, one of my users is logged on to our TS twice, the host of one is her notebook, the second host is the server itself, the only thing I can think is that she has got a bit confused and has logged onto Terminal Services again from within her Terminal Services Session. Is this possible? Is there a way of stopping it happening? i.e. a user can only initiate...

TS client window keeps popping up
If a (v5) TS client window has been minimized for longer than a few minutes (15? 30?), it pops up and takes the focus; it's driving my users (and myself) mad. I have the suspicion that only full-screen mode is affected, but I cannot say for sure. A consequence of this is inactive sessions don't time out. Had anyone else experienced this? ...

Stop creation of IE and OE links?
Hello! On a 2003 TS using a lockdown GPO from the main DC, is there a way to stop the initial creation of the Internet Explorer and Outlook Express menu items that are part of a default new profile? It is a pain to go in and clean them off each users' menu after the fact. I swear I found a way to do it before, but it escapes me now. Thank you! Gregg Hill ...
