Terminal Services Connection Limit
Hi,
I have a server configured with terminal services remote administration
mode. Which in case it would give only 2 connections. But since today
morning it allowing only one connection. I have check the permissions on
terminal services configuration for the network adapter which has already
selected as Unlimited connections. I have also verified the rdp-tcp
connection permission...

Windows 2003 Server update stopped remote desktop listening on 5 out of 8 servers
Any ideas how to get remote desktop to listen again without rebooting live
servers.
We did an update on 8 servers last night, now 5 no longer function with
remote desktop.
The patches applied were as follows:-
7 servers (4 down 3 remote desktop ok)

Feature in R2 version of windows 2003 (terminal)
Guys,
I am not sure if this is the correct forum to ask. Are there any
differences in the R2 version of windows 2003 server as far as terminal
services/server is concern.
I haven't gotten a chance to look at it yet but here something about it
having some features similar to citrix farm.
Anybody have first heard about this or have first hand experience.

Remote session (MSTSC) and IE
Hi
I am using MSTC to connect to my servers in Admin mode and to Workstation
(Remote Desktop). However, if I attempt to browse the Internet or open
Oulook and come across content with Flash or some other kind of animated
content, the session becomes very slow, almost unresponsive.

Bandwidth Usage
Can anyone tell me what the average bandwidth usage may be with a client
on one network (over a T1) would be running, say, Outlook 2003, Internet
Explorer and some other random piece of software?
How many concurrent RDP/Term Serv Client connections could one have at
the same time going over a T1? 10? 100? 1000?

Automatic login of Remote user
I have a Win 2000 TS and wish to do the following:
* Whenever the server is started, automatically create a new session
from a regular TS user albeit from the server itself. I should then be
able to take over that session remotely using Remote Desktop
Connection.
* When the session starts I wish to automatically start an application
as well.
Are the actions above possible?

Error Message
I'm getting an error message that does not allow me to activate Terminal
Services Licensing. When I try to activate a server I get this "The license
wizard cannot connect to the license server registry. Check your network
connections, and then retry the operation" Can you guys please help me out?

Stop direct logon to Terminal Server
We are currently using NLB to provide load balancing between two TS servers.
Though I am unable to stop people connecting to the servers using their
server names or individual ip addresses.....is there any way to stop this?
Even if using 3rd party utility.

Remote Administration problems on 2003 SBS.
As of a couple days ago, I am no longer able to remote into a 2003 SBS. I
did update to Service Pack 2 for the server as well as install some updates a
few days prior to this problem but was able to remote into the server. I
have since uninstalled all the updates sans Service Pack 2. The error I

networks: session printer encapsulated in RDP or direct printing beetween

Slow menu display for MSAccess on TS
We're running Terminal Services in app mode on Win2k3 R2 server, very good
box, dual quad core processors, 4GB RAM, RAID 5 (we have 3 servers like
this). We've noticed on all of the servers when working in MSAccess and you

Recovering Cals and weird Cal beahvior
I'm facing a problem with TS cals on my 2003 License environment. The
expiration date for Cals are getting set for more than 89 days as against the
standard rule say sometimes 270 days at a streach. Moroever ..the CALS which

Anyone come across the following?
XP SP1 Client connecting to Windows 2003 R2 Terminal Server
XP Client has never connected to terminal server, connect via RDP, and

How to display the taskbar
Dear all,
I've configured an application to start whenever a user is logging in
to the terminal server via RDP. This works fine, BUT: The application
is starting 1 or more applications, and it is not easy to switch
between the applications, because there is no taskbar. Is it possible
to switch on a taskbar for a simple switching between the
applications?

I got a problem using remote desktop from my Windows Vista machine. I connect
to some remote machines (w2k3 webserver edition) over VPN and when I’m
connected I don’t get a login screen. It’s only a grey background that shows
and after a while its disconnects. I recently upgrade to Vista from XP Pro

Using Duel-Monitors for TS Session Using TS Client 6.0
Greetings,
I have just recently installed duel-monitors for all of my users including
my remote users who use an RDP connection to connect remotely to the TS box.
(TS box is W2K3 w/SP-1) All workstations are XP Pro w\SP2 with the same

Office Apps - Weird things happening on screen
We have an intermittent problem where both Excel and Word will sometimes
display certain areas of the page incorrectly. For example, the bottom
section of a page will flicker (all the way across the Excel window). TS is
installed on a Dell Poweredge 2950 with only about 10 users. We ran Dell's
memory diagnostics, but all modules passed (22 Gig total). Any suggestions?...

Terminal Server User Processes
Every user that logs on is starting processes for applications that the users
do not have access too, (Backup program, HP management console, NIC config
and monitoring, etc). These processes then add to the load on the server
memory and CPU. How do I prevent every user that logs on from starting
processes that they do not need access too?...

I am setting up a terminal server for the first time. I cannot seem to get
the client to start a program (Outlook) on connection. I am specifying a
path in the RDC under the Programs tab of c:\Program Files\Microsoft

Remote Users on Virtual Machines?
We have two offices, one is HQ with updated server hardware running SBS2003
