uninstall Shared Access
I keep getting an error about a script being corrupt when I try to uninstall
the Shared Access programs. The FAQ said if that happened, just delete the
program folder with the Shared Access programs. That didn't seem to do the
job. When I try to reinstall, it tries to remove the program but can't for
the same script problem. I am stuck, I can't get it off and I can't get it
on. ...

We have Server 2003 and will use the Toolkit with 10 computers in the domain.
I've read the Chapter 10 in the manual but I still need help.

Any suggestions for Windows Vista
Hi,
The college computer lab I am running has just received a shipment of
machines with Windows Vista. However, we cannot provide them for student use
until we can restrict changes. On previous machines, we've done it with the
Shared Computer Toolkit for XP; however, Shared Computer Toolkit refuses to
install on Vista.
Do you have any suggestions on what we can do instead? Alternati...

I have 4 library XP computers installed with SCT. I recently installed a new
network printer on all 4. For the life of me I can not make the new printer
the default printer, it just keeps going back to the old printer no matter
what I do. Does anyone have some tips or successful solutions?
Thanks in advance,

Delete Icons
In order for some software to run, I have left the Public account in the
administrator's group.
How do I keep the Public account from deleting icons off the desktop.
I've restricted 'right clicking' -- but they can highlight the icon and hit
the delete key on the keyboard.
Also -- Disk protection should have restored the desktop back to normal but
did not.

I used the SCTSettings.adm template to create a policy similar to that of the
Shared Computer Toolkit, however I noticed that the policy "Software

Was there a reason for it's exclusion, or am I not looking properly?
Moreover, is there a way to prevent programs ...

We are still seeing user accounts being disabled.
Is there a patch to the SCT disk protection auto update feature?
I think there others that still have this problem?

SteadyState won't require the partitioning steps that the current version
does.
Is there a ballpark release date for SteadyState? eg. do you think it...

protecting multiple partitions ?
Is there a method to add DRIVE D: to WDP? Looks like you can add partition
by editing the registry if ewfmgr is using RAM as an overlay. WDP does not
use RAM and with XPe you specify the drives to protect as part of the build
process.
Will this be a feature in the next release?
