DFS Management Snap-in
Hi,
I'm interested in the Branch offcie technology offered in 2003 server R2.
I've set up a couple of test servers and am trying to install the DFS
Management snap-in.
I downloaded a document from Technet which gives two options for doing this
By "Manage your server" or via "Add/Remove Windows Components".
Neither of these work for me; I can't find any mention of Distributed file

When deploying Windows XP SP2 to a T60, the process is extremely slow when

and now just got another one for the second server because the second
one needs to have its own public ip so this software ...

DHCP and Windows Firewall on Server 2003
I installed a new Windows 2003 server and installed DHCP. Moved scopes from
old server, and activated the DHCP server. Everything looks fine, but will
only run with the Windows Firewall turned off. I tried running the security
configuration wizard and it didn't help. In fact, when applying the policy,
it gave an error when trying to adjust the firewall settings. But I think

Uninstall IE7 that was preinstalled by with Server 2003 Standard R2
I have a new server with Win Server 2003 Standard R2 and all updates, it
had IE7 by default, I need to remove IE7 because docutrack won't work
with it, I've already uninstalled it (not rebooted yet) and downloaded
the IE6 setup...
Did I make a mistake I'm going to regret - not about IE7 vs IE6, but I'm
hoping that all things keep working when I revert back to IE6.

adprep.exe questions (server 2003 R2)
upgrading 2000 active directory to 2003 active directory.
1) Is it still the case (as it was in windows 2000) that the purpose for
using adprep.exe before dcpromo was only for typically large orginizations
where there would be different people handling forest prep as opposed to the
domain prep? and that if you are running dcpromo under a user with all the
necessary permissions and user ...

even though I took ownership of one of the files (as a test) as the domain
admin, neither can I.

Installing a boot manager on a server - Hard drive sector problem
I am trying to install a boot manager on our server because we need

MBR). The primary partition on most of the servers starts at 32 which
