SBS 2003
Hi
I currently have a Windows 2000 member server running in an SBS 2000 domain.
I need to move this file server to a new SBS 2003 domain but after I disjoin
it from the SBS 2000 domain and place it into a Workgroup and reboot I then
cannot login to the server to enable it to join the new domain.
Should I create another admin user on the file server before leaving the old
domain and...

Need help on solution to connect two sites.
Hello,
I need to implement two far apart sites with the same domain, and i
wanted to use SBS 2003 systems.
Thing is can i have one at each site being both connected and having the
same domain? I think not because one of the things is that must only
exist one SBS server per domain that holds all the AD functions on him,
right?
But these being far apart, separated lan networks can this...

Swing Migration non R2 media and SP2
I'm going to start a new swing migration soon (have done many successfully).
I will be using the client's existing SBS Premium media which is not R2. I'm
wondering if I should apply Windows Server 2003 SP2 at all though this
process or just install all updates except for SP2.
Any thoughts?
Please let me know.

Delivering incoming emails from exchange to an external server
Hi all,
Our company used to have a external host for our emails. Now we set up
an exchange server of our own and are getting emails from external
host to our exchange via popcon. I want to keep emails in both servers
(external host and exchange) and everything runs smoothly except this
one thing. I can't figure out how to get emails sent trough exchange
to external server.
So if I send ...

Logon Script
I just recently ghosted my SBS 2003 to a new server. Everything works fine
for a couple of days and then people are unable to access the various shares
and printers. Also, when users logon, their logon script does not execute;
it executes on the original server. I've checked all of the permissions and
everything is identical to the orignal server. ...

Adding computer outside office to a domain
Hi all,
I'm facing a problem as I have plenty of computers outside our office
that I should add to our company domain. I have heard that I can only
add computers that are physically connected to our server. Could
someone confirm if this is true or not?
If this is not true. How can I connect a computer outside of office to
our company domain?
If this is true. What are my options? Do I ...

SQLVDI
Hi all,
Has anybody found a way to get rid of that pesky SQLVDI error message? I
have quite a few clients with the same setup (SBS2003R2 Premium) and only
one of them shows those with about 30 occurrences in a 24 hour period. I
know that it can be ignored but I would like to get rid of it.
Thanks,

hard drive health
My SBS disk management service reports that all drives are "healthy", but I
get daily reports of page errors on one of them. It happens to be a Ximeta
netdisk (NDAS). Is there a better way to monitor health of drives? What about
an external drive (USB) or tape drive attached periodically for backups? Any
way to anticipate impending disaster on these?
Thanks...

moving to raid controller advice
Hi,
I was running a software controlled RAID 1 disk for my boot partition. I
have realised that this is not a good solution when a disk failed, I can't
get the exact same disk again and the mirror that I created with the new disk
will not boot. So I am going to go to hardware RAID. Same disks, SATA and
an Adaptec controller. My problem is how to do this without reloading the
OS. ...
