Exchange receiving but not sending emails??
Ok so i have had an SBS running now on full exchange email for about 6months with absolutely no problems. All of a sudden yesterday afternoon all outbound email is stuck in a queue "retrying" to be sent out."The remote serevr did not respond to a connection attempt" is what the queue is saying. There is no NDR's in the queue as that is turned off. There is a message in the event viewer s...

SHAREPOINT AND RWW ISSUES
Hello, I will be vauge for now, but if any requires additional info please ask. Our company is trying to setup their internal website through sharepoint services on a sbs2003 box. I noticed however, when users are on the internal website, they can do whatever they want, regardless of the permissions. For instance I logged in as the domain user in the "reader" group, and he could view...

Changing the Logical Disk after adding HD's to RAID 5 Array
Running SBS 2003 Premium SP2; RAID controller is on a Dell Poweredge 2800, it's a PERC 4e/Di. =========== I added 3 146 GB HD's yesterday to our server, and recontructed the RAID 5 array so it now includes them. I then went to Disk Management and saw that the size of the drives hadn't changed - made sense - but I'm stumped on how to change the size of the logical drives. I'm sure it's ...

Have you had good results with Trend Micro support?
I've been emailing and calling Trend Micro support for several days now about an issue where the server's TM Client is failing to update it's pattern definitions. All the client workstations update automatically, the Exchange messaging agent updates automatically, but the TM Client on the server fails to update either automatically or manually. A manual update concludes with "Update Succ...

I installed SBS 2003 R2 on 5/28/07. On 07/9/07 I lost all my connections to the server. Three computers are connected, 1 Vista Ultimate, 1 XP Pro SP2 and 1 2000 Pro SP4. I can ping the three connected computers from the server but none of connected computers can ping the server. There were no changes to the systems and no power failures (all 4 computers are connected to UPS if...

I am installing a SBS server/domain into a business. They currently have a 2003 Server that is hosting an application only. This does not act as a domain serverbut purely hosts the application. My usual installation of SBS goes along the text book install of Router to WAN NIC on server on a separate IP Segemnt to the LAN NIC on the SBS server which then serves all of the LAN with the ...

SSL Certificates with SBS2003 and Windows 2003 Web Edition
I have SBS2003 on one server and Windows 2003 Web Edition on another server. I want to issue 3rd party SSL certificates to some sites on the web edition server. However, Windows 2003 Web Edition does not support installation of Certificate Services and the Web Server Certificate Wizard does not have a choice to "Create a new certificate" so how do I initiate the CSR request for the 3rd...

2003 Server withi a 2003SBS domain
Hi .... I am working on a new project for a business that currently runs an application on a 2003 server. They currently have no domain set on this 2003 server and I believe they login to the application via a login screen. To save disrupting this and having issues with the company that supplied them their 2003 server & application I am installing a 2003SBS domain. This SBS inst...

Do I need MTA?
We run SBS2003 with 7 clients. Poking around yesterday I realised that I had not shifted the MTAdatabase off from C:/ when I did MTB and also that there had been no activity on that folder for a very long time. We do not use X400, so presumably the folders can be shifted just to save space on C:/ , but am I missing anything? IanB...

Customer Access
I am working for a small (under 10 employees) engineering firm that has decided to get a server. One of their employees works from home, and so she needs to be able to access the files from off site. Also they want their customers to be able to access reports over the internet. Is Small Business Server the best way to go for them? I'm rather new to servers and that seems to be the best w...

Critical Update for Win SBS 2003: Vista and Outlook 2007 (KB 926505) (No Vista m...

How can i delete all emails from all SMTP queues in one go?
I have a customer who has been hit by an email scam that has generated over 140,000 outgoing emails split over about 660 domains on their SBS2003 server. Is there a way of deleteing ALL outgoing emails in one go rather than going into each of the 660 SMTP queues - finding all messages - then deleteing them? I have frozen the queues so at least the queued emails are not going but every ti...
