DCPROMO and Server Manager
Guys,
I changed an SB Server 2003 from company1.local to company2.local
using DCPROMO and now I can no longer use Server Manager Console. Any
reason for this or what can I do to re-install only SM?

How to setup a mail server (POP3 and SMTP) with a dynamic IP

After I had setup a mail server with a dynamic IP on my computer installed

Two SBS domains
First, let me provide information about the infrastructure at a client
location. This client is inherited. I did not setup this environment, but I
do have to maintain it. The client is a non-profit and generally low on

VPN Problems
Hello,
I set a VPN fro my office, but when I connent to the VPN I can access the
server and all the files, but I cannot access any of the computer connected
to the server. I neen to be able to use remote desktop connection between a
remote computer to a client computer connected directly to the server. Can
you help with this issue?

Loss of Synchronization at startup / during day
Hi
Running SBS 2003 R2 without the R2 add-ons. One server with ISA 2004
installed and one PC connected.
However, when I start my PC and login I get an error staying I'm not current
connected and that the server is not available (however, do have network
access e.g. internet, skype, etc). As soon as I click on the Sync Warning
icon and run a "manual" sync it run immediately ...

OWA, Vista, SBS SP2 & Patch 911829
A couple of our users are now running Vista and have come up against
the problem that they cannot reply to e-mails (or create new ones).
There is a fix for this that needs to be applied to the server, ref:
911829.
However, when we try to apply it is complains that we dont have
Service Pack 2 installed.

Install Error in Update Services
I have had this problem before, one of the clients had an install error with
an update. The second time around it worked, so the install in ok. However
Update Services still shows the error and it has been over 24 hours.
Previously I have resorted to removing the client from the network and then
re-adding it to the network. This seems broken to me and there has to be a

SBS 2003 Premium with ISA 2000. While installing SBS SP1 is it
necessary for ISA 2000 users to install ISA 2004 SP1 or can they leave
the ISA 2000 as it is and still have the remaining SBS SP1 components?

Folders moved
I have a client on SBS2k3 who has a habit of inadvertently dragging folders
in the shared area when meaning to open them. This results in 'I have lost
my files' and on examination I find the required folder has been moved in to
another folder.
Is there a GPO that can just prohibit users from moving folders, but still
give otherwise full access?

Received faxes print as blank pages
I have shared faxing set up on a SBS 2003 R2 server. It also has Server 2003
SP2 installed on it. I have a Brooktrout TruFax 200 analog fax card set up
(yes it's a certified fax device) and I'm trying to route the faxes to an HP

How can I get SBS 2k3 (evaluation) just for testing. I dont want to order
DVD from States and wait weeks. I want to download it from internet.

Upgrading to R2.
I currently have a SBS2003 Premium SP1 Server. When it was purchased I also
bought Microsoft Software Assurance and therefore received my SBS 2003 R2
disk kit.
To this day I have not upgraded to R2, but now that I want to go ahead and
do it, I feel a little unsure about the proper upgrade procedure to follow to

Hi
I have recently applied windows 2003 sp1 and sp2 on sbs 2003 with isa
200. Since then I am experincing problems with exchange smtp and
remote access wizard. Is it possible to remove these service packs and

OMA error on SBS 2003
When trying to sync a PDA via GPRS I get the following error on my server.
PDA has got a certificate installed with the exact FQDNname of the exchange
server.
HTTP status code: [409]. Verify that the Exchange mailbox Server is working
correctly.
I can browse the https://myserver/oma site on the PDA flawlessly.

How to get rid of c0050007.. I m the admin, but I wonder why I get this
message. When accessing server management console, I can't have any right
clicking nor accessing my exchange server. Also, I can't read any event logs
