Adding OUs to separate laptops and pcs?
Does anyone see any problem with adding OUs to split laptops and pcs withing the SBS OUs? For example, am I safe to add OUs within: MyBusiness/Computers/SBSComputers/Laptops MyBusiness/Computers/SBSComputers/PCs My understanding is I'm ok to do this as long as I stay within the default SBS OUs? I need to apply some different group policies to laptops vs pcs. Rick ...

Single Partition on SBS? Quadcore Processor?
I'm planning a new SBS setup at my new company. Previously I had a Dell PowerEdge 1800 which came with a 12gig C partion, and then I had the remaning of the 300 gigs on the D partition. This was awful, because after you installed a few applications and the operating system and updates, you were left with about 1 gig of space. I also had to move the exchange files, and the user home directo...

New install.. start right off on WSS 3?
I'm working on a new SBS system in my environment. Would you agree to just start our new intranet right on the WSS 3? We won't be using the inbound fax feature and plan to do the software assurance migration to SBS 2008 next year. I'm thinking WSS 3 is so much better I should just build our intranet right from the beginning on that. Thoughts? Rick ...
