IMF and SBS
Does anyone here utilise IMF on their SBS? If so, how do you manage the configuration and monitoring in day-to-day use? Ive been reading the IMF Operations Guide (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=B1218D8C-E8B3-48FB-9208-6F75707870C2&displaylang=en) and have done some minimal testing. SBS2003 CALS
I am not sure if I ordered the correct cals. I have the 5 that came with the software and have purchased 20 more. The Package from Microsoft states " you must be licensed for the same number of SBS CALS to be eligible to use these upgrades." Can anyone confirm that these will will or will not give me twenty additional users? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, MN ...

Disaster Recovery / Stand by best practice
What would you recommend as the best practice? Exchange/iPhone Question
Summary: My Company bought new iPhones for some of the management and IT staff. Apple has been upfront that the iPhone is not intended for corporate, so it is up to me to figure out a way for exchange to communicate with these devices. Solution: Enable the IMAP4 protocol on my Exchange 2003 enterprise server. From what I have read, IMAP4 only sends header information to the mobile phones a...

Update: Server thinks it's a PC
The Windows updates I'm seeing on my SBS 2003 "seem" as though they should be for a workstation running Win XP. I have not seen a server update for months. When I check for updates I continue to get the following three (only): --------------- High-priority updates Microsoft Office 2002/XP + Security Update for Office XP (KB934705) + Security Udate for Office XP (KB920816) + Update fo...

DHCP Service will not start
My server crashed late last week and since then I have not been able to start the DHCPServer. Whenever i try to start it, it tells me that it did not respond in a timely fashion. And also, since i started the IISAdmin service, it takes a long time to login to the server. Login was really quick before i started that service. It never used to do this, so i thought maybe it was related ...

DHCP and wireless access point
We just switched away from having the router 'rout', to having ISA 2006 route. SBS always did dhcp. The wireless broadband router is now needing to just be a wireless access point/switch. To accomplish this in the router, we only had to add a nic to sbs and connect it to a lan port on the router. Wan is now to sbs's old nic. Router's wan is now empty. The router is assigned an available...
