Installation of SBS2003 on RAID
Hi,
I have a poweredge 2900 with 5 160GB 1500RPM SAS Hard Drives on a Two
channel Raid controller. I want to know what's the best way or practice
(configuration or RAID(s)) to install SBS2003 for the best performance. I
also have two quad-cord Xeon Processors and 16GB or RAM.

Unable to connect remotely
pI am unable to connect remotely over the internet to this Server, either
using VNC or Remote Desktop
I have enabled the relevant ports on the Router.
There are no other firewalls installed.

When sending mail to a selection of certain domains an error from the local
Exchange server reads:

Failed DCdiag Test
Hi,
I got SBS 2003 SP2 and I am having some network performance issues. Upon
performing a DCdiag, I found two test failed, the ISMServ Service and the
SystemLog test. It shows IsmServ Service is stopped. I am just getting
starting on the investigation process. any insite to how to fix these would

Error when Installing SP2
I have recently taken over a small network consisting of a Server with

Problem with SMTP on SBS 2003 since office moved
Scenario
Our customer moved last Friday, and after a mess up trying to swap
ADSL lines with the same ISP, a 3rd party was engaged (not by me!) and
subsequently the ADSL is now with another company as they imposed a 3
month agreement and so we couldn't just transfer to the new telephone
line with a MAC code.

Disk requirements of next version of Windows Server
Any idea how big the next version of Windows Server is going to be, so newly
installed boot partitions can accommodate an upgrade later? (I'm thinking
about a partition without a pagefile.)

Migrating an SBS network into a larger domain

One of my clients running SBS is merging with a larger company running full
version products over 12 servers.
I am wanting to migrate everything to the larger company's domain. This

SNS2000 SERVER - WINDOWS UPDATE AGENT STOPPED

How to run a script when users logon due VPN
I.ve got everthing in order. VPN connections works just fine. I only want to
run a script only when vpn users conecting. I don't want that this script
runs when ordinairy lan users connecting.

Missing Folders on SBS VPN
Hi All,
I setup a VPN on SBS2003, can connect up just fine for network files and
Exchange. I placed server entries in the hosts file for resolution.
When I connect on the client laptop and navigate folders, some are
missing. In a folder with 10 sub folders, only 3 are displayed. When I
connect up from my test machine at home, they all display fine.

Restrict Exchange Mail Delivery To Specific IP Address
We are having some issues with spam getting by our
filtering system provided by McAfee. After sending
in some spam samples that were bypassing McAfee
the support rep mentioned setting up our mail server
to only allow mail from specific IP addresses.
Questions:
1. Are there any draw backs to doing this?
2. How do I set this up.

All servers (SBS 2003 NOT R2) updated with SP2 have been giving this error:-

Public Folders Across Routing Groups of Trusted Domains
I am trying to get public folders to float across from my domain to
another domain. We have a 2 way trust set up, and an exchange
connector. I confirmed that I am not disallowing public folder
referrals. Does anyone have any experience with this? Whats the

Slipstream SP2 onto SBS2003 STD R2 DVD, cannot install R2 Technolo
I've been having a heck of time trying to get a working SBS 2003 R2 SP2 DVD
built. Each disc I burn and install prevents me from installing the R2

Mailbox Rights in Exchange on SBS 2003
I am trying to "open another users folder" in Outlook. I am the admin
on an SBS 2003 server. I have tried to do all the things that you are
supposed to do to get full mailbox rights as an admin on other users
mailboxes in Exchange 2003 but there are still certain DENY rights
that are being inherited from somewhere that I can't override. Is this
