2 Completely separate companies using same server room
We are about to move into a 75 user building. 1 company has ~50 users and
company #2 has about ~25 users. These two companies have NO relations to
each other except sharing the same server room. I have been managing AD
2003 / Exchange 2003 for the 75 user office, but I must now make sure I
accomodate the other company into our network.
Since they already have their AD / we have ours and ...

VPN client not working (error 800)
I have just tried, for practice, to setup a VPN connection between two
systems on my internal network. The traffic was captured and the server
responds, but I guess it doesn't respond correctly because the client then
doesn't return the response.
The VPN server is listening on port 1723, and this port is open on the
server firewall.
What am I missing?
Thank you,
J.B....

IAS help
I'm going to have my firewall authenticate VPN users through IAS. What's the
ideal setup for the scenario? I have more than one domain controller
available. Does it matter which one IAS is installed on or, should I not
even have IAS on a DC? Should I have more than one IAS server? Any
suggestions would be appreciated.

logging on to a server 2003 domain
Hi,
We have a Server 2003 domain called mydomain.com
When we try to logon to the domain from a workstation, we have to use
"mydomain" instead of "mydomain.com"
Aren't we supposed to be using the dot com domain name? The mydomain is a
netbios name?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Setting up XP clients to use 2 gateways
Hi All
At my site, I have 2 VPN links to our head office using 2 routers (Router A

Router A is the router I would like XP clients to use for the internet. High
Speed Router B is for all other File + Print etc.
I have tried adding both gateways in the TCP/IP set up on the XP clients
(Router B metric=5, Router A Metric=10). This gives me good speed to the

using certificates or not. I read the documents on Securing Wireless using

seems to be less complicated but I wondering how much less secure it is.
Lets say I set up the following: RADIUS server (IAS), Microsoft root CA

How To Measure Traffic Between Routers?
Is there a simple way to measure the amount of traffic over a WAN link

switch and the router? Although that would measure all traffic going to the
