Problems with SBS 2003 and Domain-Workgroup config
Hi guys,
I have Windows Small Business 2003 Server installed on my Dell Poweredge.
The server came preinstalled as a domain controller. Because I don't have
that many XP professional licences, I had to run dcpromo on the server to
downgrade it to a regular server without domain controller. Yesterday I was
looking at the log files and I saw a SBCore error, that said that the
machine was...

move which of swap, temp, db log files, etc. to 2nd drive?
I've got a RAID system with 2 mirrored volumes (of 2 drives each).
I'm running Exchange 2003, SQL 2005, ASP.NET and ISA Server 2006 (with SQL 2000
MSDE).
I'm curious what would be most useful to move the the 2nd drive?
The swap file, TEMP folder, sql db log files, etc?
Exchange will have under 10 users, and the ASP.NET webs shouldn't hit SQL Server
too hard.
Also, how to divide up...

Remove "orphaned" domains from Log On To box?
Last Friday, my company disconnected our WAN from our former owner.
We both shared the same domain, we seized all FSMO roles to your DC's
after being disconnected. That seemed to go well, the event logs on
my DC's are pretty clean and no users are reporting any problems.
The former owner had several other domains that would show up in the
Log On To drop down box. We never logged into tho...

Backup Application Recommendation
Anyone have a recommendation for a reliable backup to tape application
that's simple for end users to maintain? I've been using NovaSTOR products

creating the same user on two non-AD W2K3 machines, and connections
Mighty Gurus,

a reporting server. Previously the reporting server was W2k and the service
which created the PDF ran under a user/pass that was identical to one on the
W2k3 web server. After upgrading the reporting server to W2k3, I find that
this 'trick' no longer works. (You use the same trick in connecti...

Shares are unshared w. SP2
Hi all.
First let me say that I am not a Windows Server expert rather I have
admin privileges because the real admin is too busy and overworked.
Recently, one of our boxes running Server 2003 asked to install SP2.
I allowed it (figuring that it is more secure). Recently, I tried to
map one of the shares, but got an error. So I logged in to the box
and found that none of the shares were...
