Cluster Apps
Hello
I am new to clustering; is it possible for me to create a windows cluster
and then install dhcp, printserver or maybe even file server/home-drives as
cluster aware apps and have a active-passive configuration.
Basically to give me failover capability in an event of failure for these
apps and i dont want to be creating more than one cluster.
Thanks

On Reboot Wants to Run CHKDSK on Quorum Drive
Windows 2003 SP1 in MSCS cluster
Any thoughts or ideas on the following would be appreciated. Any chance I
will have future problems because of this?
Once this server and another server are added to the cluster, I plan to
evict the 1A node since it is old hardware.
I have a server (1D) ready to add to our SQL Server cluster. When I reboot
this server, I get the message that the ...

adding available disk space to our S: drive
We have a file server cluster which uses a partition on our SAN as the S:
drive. Origianlly we allocated 100GB to the resource and now we are wanting
to double that.
We have already added the desired disk space to the partition however it
does not show up on either node as being a 200GB drive.
I figure we have to now run extpart.exe or some kind of utility that will

DNS of Virtual machine versus Nodes?
We have an Exchange 2003 cluster on 2003 Server. We use a disaster recovery
software to replicate data out to another site and this software disables the
register DNS setting for the cluster nodes as it if necessary redirects DNS
to point to the DR server. Is there a way to set or ensure that the DNS
registration for the virtual server name is happening? The DNS registration

Recover cluster
Hi,
After not following the best practice (for testing purposes) and placing
Cluster resources in the same group with other application resources, the
cluster become inaccessable. The interesting part is that Cluster Service

succesefuly started, but the cluster IP is not starting and therefore cluster
is not accessable...

Cluster Group failover and preferred nodes
Hi
In a cluster with 3 or more nodes, is it possible to configure which nodes
can own cluster group and the order in which cluster will try these nodes? I
believe it is possible for other failover groups; I was wondering the same
works for cluster group as well.
What I need is, say current cluster group owner is node 1 and if that nodes
goes down I want cluster to try node 2 first BE...

Can a 2003 Server Cluster be made in a Workgroup instead of domain
Hello, I am learning about how to install a cluster in Server 2003
Enterprise. I am trying to do this in VMware with bridged networking to the
regular network, but I would rather not make these two temporary test servers
members of the domain.
However, it looks like the only way I can make the cluster is if the servers
are in a domain. Is this true?
Thanks!
