Conflicting Wifi cards?
Hi,
Probably a stupid question, but it is killing me. In fact, there are two
stupid questions.
I had two machines in AdHoc mode with two LW2110P 11Mbps cards. They had a
bad connection, and when I needed a third machine I decided to buy a
wireless router. So I bought a Linksys BEFW11S4, which worked more or less
fine. Two machines had the LW2110P cards and one used the LAN port.

Sharing internet connection between two desktop computers
My sister just installed a cable modem on her new desktop computer. She has
another computer in a bedroom and wants to share the internet connection.
So, how does she do this? Will just a router suffice?
I've set up my home PC to share internet connection with two laptops using a
wireless router, but I am not sure how to set up two PC's.
Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you....

Below is the text of the warning.
Your computer was not able to renew its address from the network (from the
DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 001143AD2813. Th...

Cannot access external network addresses
Hi,
I have a wireless enabled laptop that I have use to surf the web
wirelessly for the past two years. Last week I came home from work, the
laptop connected to the network but I could not reach Google or my ISP.
The network states that it is connected, 54Mb, excellent strength.
IPCONFIG shows that I have a correct network and the DNS and gateway

Problem with Dlink G604T router?
I have a bizarre problem.
I have a DLINK G604T wireless router. One main PC and a laptop. Both
machines are used to connect to a VPN.
This has been working fine, but today when I tried to connect it would
get to the verifying username and password and then sit there till it
timed out.
Nothing has been changed on the settings anywhere.
It did this with the PC first and then also with...

"Hotspot" Schemes?
Hello,
I would like to ask here to all who have implemented "hotspot" networks,
like coffee shops, libaries, etc.; what hardware and software do you have in
place to protect the security of, at least, the Intranet of the providing
enterprise, and perhaps, even the security of each of the transient clients?
It seems to me that there are lots of places that advertise themselves as
"hots...

802.11g to 2mb Access Point
Hi, hopefully someone can give me some tips where to look. I have just got
a hold of a 3com wireless access point. Worked a treat for a couple of
weeks. I was watching AVI files stored on my main PC on my laptop,
streaming away no problem. Then all of a sudden, the AP drops down to 2mb
across the network. This is when copying large files. On the laptop, the

simple: DSL modem, Wireless Router, MIMO notebook adapter, Musical bridge.
