WDS link and security
Hello group,
Not sure it is the right group for this, but it seems to be the best one
my newsserver has to offer.
I discovered that my old router (Dlink DGL-4300) and new router (Dlink
DIR-655) support WDS linking, also called "repeater mode".
However, WDS linking doesn't work with WPA, only with WEP, which isn't
secure enough.
Is there a workaround? Or should I wire access point...

I have an Asus wl-138g v2 wireless card on my desktop PC (Vista HP) and an
Atheros card on my laptop. I am connecting to my router and wlan through a

My laptop reports a 54mbps connection all over the house. However, I always
get only 11mbps with the Asus card even though the signal strength is
excellent (88%). I have set the AP to wireless-G only as suggested in other...

problem with wgr101
I have bought a netgear travel router. I do heavy downloads and use a
lot of bittorrent (for legal stuff of course).
About every minute or so, my wgr101 stops transmitting packets and
stops being ping-able. Then it comes back like 5 to 10 seconds
later. I use wpa encryption. Latest firmware.
Help please?

Export Profiles in WZC
Is there a way in Windows XP SP2 to export the WZC wireless profiles? We
have about 20 access points secured with WEP passwords and it would be
helpful to setup all of the profiles on one machine and be able to export
them and then import them into another machine either manually or by login
script.
Thanks,
