personal information
I have problems with my messenger. Everytime I start a messenger session I
have to rewrite all my personal information, even my picture. For instance my
name I have to rewrite it everytime i start the session.
Can you please tell me how i can solve this problem?

ACER ASPIRE 5102 & WLM81
hi,
i have perform a clean install of Windows VISTA Home Premium on a ACER
Aspire 5102 computer ; for more information i have deleted and re-created the
partition table with the custom install of Vista, so VISTA work perfectly.

Connection Problem
For some time I have been unable to connect to Messenger which repeatedly
tells me there is a problem code:80072efd.
I have tried to run the repair messenger download but this has not fixed it.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

Attempting to install windows live messenger 8.1. Error message received
"bootstrap exe-ordinal not found The ordinal 730 could not be located in the

Help
I recently added a friend on windows live messenger. And it says she is not
on my contact list. but i can talk to her. I cant click on her msn adress see
her profile or send her messages unless she talkes to me first how do i fix
this. oh and it says click here to allow this contact well that doesnt work
either....

windows live webcam
i'm trying to connect with my daughter (Mac user) to do video
conferencing-Both of our contacts show "offline"-how do we get the contact
to show "online"? Also, I have entered and re-entered her contact e-mail
address and in the contact profile for her it says her e-mail address is
"invalid". I'm sure it's something simple I'm not doing-(not too computer
savvy) Help!!!! Thank you....

Windows Live Contacts Importer
Hi!
I have 2 questions/things I need help with.
1. Is there away to get rid of the basic Windows Messenger (WM) and have
Windows Live Messenger (WLM) take its place? Specifically the basic WM is
associated with MS Office Programs. I do not want this anymore an wish to
re-associate MS Office programs (ex. MS Outlook 2003) with WLM.

correct contact address showing as invalid how to get it online
I'm trying to to webcam with my daughter (Mac user). I have entered her
correct email address and it says it is invalid. Also neither of us can get
the address to show as being online, even tho we both were online trying to
connect with each other. can someone walk me thru the procedure of connecting

Problem with Microphone setup in Live 8.1
Although the speaker and video (webcam) setup worked fine, the Live 8.1 setup
program refused to recognize that my microphone was live. Now Windows XP,
SP2 recognizes that my mike is live (which is connected to SB Audigy Platinum
Line 2/Mic2), because I can hear myself in my headphones when I speak and I
can adjust the mike volume on the Windows Play Control panel, on the SB

Contacts showing in wrong group
Hi,
I had standby my system yesterday with WLM running. Today when I resumed, it
showed me WLM ok but in few moments my all contacts start moving to under one
group "Other". I can't understand what happened. Can anyone help please? I've
all my contacts but under one group but i had those under several groups.

match characters
I am using version 8.1,when i try to get to my inbox to check my e-mails i'm
asked to match the characters in the picture. No problem i think to
myself,but, no matter how many times i correctly match the characters( visual
and audio) i'm told its wrong. What the hell is going on here? I had to
create a new e-mail account just cause that crap, but if someone could help

Saved Log Files
I have heard that windows messenger conversation are stored on your computer
hard drive as log files. Is this true? Are any logs of conversations kept?
I use messenger on a work computer and some information which I share via
messenger could be sensitive.

Messenger hangs for a while when a contact is invited to mass chat
L.S.,
I'm having a problem with bigger conversations (5+ contacts).
When a contact is invited to or exits from a chat, WLM hangs for a period
which is in direct proportion to the number of people in the chat. One or two
other users have the same problem. I can receive messages, but they're not
displayed until the WLM unfreezes.
Most users in my contact list do not have this problem....

Signing in to Windows Live messenger failed in Vista
I just updated my computer to vista and tried to sign into MSN, but every
time i try to sign in it says "Signing in to Windows Live messenger failed
because the service is temporarily unavaliable. Please try again later. Error
code 80070005."
Any ideas???...

MSN not recieving messages!
Hello
Recently I noticed that people are sending me messages and Im not recieving
them for some reason :( Its really annoying cause people keep asking why Im
not replying to them!!!

live messenger starts but will not load
When i start the pc, (windows XP) the process msnmsgr.exe starts. But never
fully loads. It is like something is holding it up. And when I try to start
it again it just starts anouther process of it. Then when shutting down. I
need to manually end the program for each time i have tried to start it.
Any suggestions would be great as I have tried repairing and uninstalling

Can't get application sharing to work
I've just installed Live Messenger and want to use application sharing (e.g.
working together with someone on a PowerPoint file.)
First I looked for detailed instructions, but didn't find much of anything,

Live Messenger for home users and Communicator for corp users (Exchange/LCS).
MS documentation for Remote Assistance states that home users should use
