on WLM, how do you find out if someone from your contact list has blocked you?
i know that if i block someone i'll still exist on their contact list but
i'll always appear offline whether i'm online or not, but is there a way of
finding out who exactly has blocked me???

I'm using the vx6000 microsoft lifecam with WLMessenger and xp pro;
I get picture and sound from the person I'm calling, and they (sometimes)
get my picture--but sound comes through as just noise.
When I go to Messenger/Adjust Audio Video, it recognizes my speakers, but

MSN Messenger hangs/freezes on sign in and normal use
Hey guys this has been happening to me for some time. I can not figure out
why Live messenger (and even MSN messenger back in the day) always hangs on
my desktop PC. I have 2 other machines at home on the same network running

shadows not working??
I have XP and I selected the shadow effects under window frames for live

Windows Live Messenger and Vista
Sometimes when I'm talking to people, i suddently get the error message
"windows live messenger has stopped working
windows will search for a solution..." etc etc
Why is this happening, and why is it with only certain contacts that I talk
to? That is to say there are certain ppl on my contact list that cause
messenger to shut down.
Its only been happening since I upgraded to Home Pre...

Parental Control
My friend has a problem with his boy abusing of Messenger.
Is there a way to limit the usage of "Live Messenger" or "Msn Messenger"
to a timeframe decided by the father.
Example from 18:00 to 19:00 or any other timeframe

Messenger 8.5 Installation problems!
hi, i have a little problem im running xp home, and whenevr i try to instal
messenger 8.5 beta from get.live.... it works fine until it sia it will now
get my comp. ready for the install that shows up for about 2 sec. and then
just disappers and nothing comes up. I tryed installing locally (downloaded
file and then install) and just clicking run and the download dialog box

Feature request: Drawing tool
First off, I really like Windows Live Messenger. Having a few friends with
artistic talent results in random comics and drawings. This makes Live
Messenger hands down the coolest IM program.
Anywho, I see that the drawing tool doesn't work on Mac OSX. :( Any chance
that can ever be added as a new feature?
Also, I notice Yahoo IM lets you add Live messenger contacts too, any chance ...

Hi, I have a passport account that belongs to somebody@superjmn.com
When I sign in to Windows Live Messenger the nick always says "Address
Not Verified". To solve this situation, I've gone to the Passport
website and logged on. Then I choose the option to send an e-mail to

Adding Contacts to Msn Live
I continously have a problem when adding contacts to MSN live. When i add
them they appear in my list but not online. They contact can see that im
online but im unable to see them or msg them until they message me.
This happens with nearly all new contacts that i add. I have about 100
contacts currently.
What can i do to fix this as its a real pain?
