Re-Install of WL Mail
I just re-installed WL Mail. After the installation I received the following
message:
Windows Live Mail could not be started because msmail.dll could not be
initialized. Windows Live Mail may not be installed correctly.
WL Mail works fine but, it won't minimize to the system tray. It simply
shuts down.
I am running it on

Minimize
I have seen alot of questions about the same problem I am having but no
answer to the problem. With the older WLMD if you click on the red X the
program still run in the tray like the messenger and clock and everything
else. But with this version I cant get it to do that, it closes all the way.
If I click the minimize button it just goes to the Taskbar. Plus when I am

Interface Elements
I have really bad eyesight, and I have increased the DPI of my computer to
compensate for this, which works quite well for most tasks. However, while
I can see the fonts in the email and the menus properly, I find the folder
pane and the toolbar to be too small to use.
Is there any way that I can increase the size and the fonts of these
elements?

keep WLM just for my Hotmail and have to use two programs to check all of my

Windows Live Hotmail
There are glitches in this program!
I received lenghty instructions from 'support' which I will not follow at
the moment:
true, it is a free program, but I do not trust all these manipulations on my
computer.
I took a remedy: removed all important email from Hotmail, limiting only to
secondary unimportant email. I read also that there are problems with
SECURITY of this program.

Removing WLM? ATTN MSFT
I've had enough of this. Can't find emails as they are all over the
place. No notification sound, really handy when you are the other side
of the room most if the time.
I've decided I want to go back to OE (this is an XP machine). Problem
is, how do I keep the emails I've sent and received while I've been
using this crock? ...

A MSFT response on single folders?
The multiple folders (Inbox, Sent, Deleted Items etc) is getting more
and more annoying, it just took me 10 minutes to find a deleted email!
Please can someone from Microsoft confirm that this "feature" will
have the option to be turned off in a later build? I certainly won't
be installing WLM on my main PC until it is.
If Microsoft are determined to make us separate our emails, an

Suggestions
A few suggestions after playing for a day:
The first, and most important: the multiple folders for different
accounts has to be made optional - it's a nightmare.
There no option to add an Insert Signature on the toolbar.
Some more keyboard shortcuts would be handy. They may be there, but
where is the list?
A UK spell checker is also a must.

How can I stop forcing APOP?
I'm using Windows Live Mail 12.0.1184.
I found that WLM always tried to log on by using APOP first to POP3 servers
even though 'Log on using clear text authentication' was selected on the
account properties dialog.
Outlook Express does not force APOP, but WLM does.
Some old versions of POP servers did not support APOP and returned error
when I try to log on those servers with WLM.

Help - Lots of missing emails!
Hi
You'll see my other post about not being able to collect new messages
elsewhere, however I've just noticed something potentially more worrying...
when I've deleted the old Hotmail account and added a new one it turns out
that it has only sync'ed email up to April 07! I'm worried when it fixes now
it'll remove the missing messages from the Web server (where they all seem to
be fine...

Windows Live Mail as default
How do I get Windows Live Mail to be the default email on my IE Explorer. I
have Windows Vista and I've already upgraded my hotmail to Live. I do
remember seeing the 'Windows Live Mail' instead of 'Windows Mail' in the list
within the start menu, but now it just says Windows Mail again. What do I do?

PROBLEM: Deleted Mails in Inbox Came Back
Hi guys
I'm facing a strange problem. Day before yesterday I deleted all mails from
my Inbox using web browser.
I made a backup of all existing mails in WLM already, so I imported all of
them in WLM.
But for my wonder, today when I logged in my account using browser, all my
mails in Inbox came back. How? and why?

black/messed up screen fixed!!! Yippee! : )
I posted about the third week of June concerning my messed up screen. No one
knew what was wrong, anywhere. Tonight, I was routinely checking the list
since it has been a while and came across what Ecarpin posted on this website
and said he did to fix his, dated 6.22.07, titled Re: Big BUG. I followed
his suggestion and it worked instantly. Right now I think Ecarpin is the
