where is my outgoing mail?
i do not immediately send my messages (that allows me to rethink emails, to
edit, etc.).
i see an outbox folder on the left side but my outbox messages aren't there.
i can't find where they are.
when i send the messages, they get sent. but where are they in the meantime?
this is obviously rather important....

Find a message broken
search seems to be broken for me on this release, (Find a message)
rather then search this very NG it reverts to my outbox as soon as I type
anything to search.

Windows Contacts and Vista
I would really like to see WLM automatically use Vista's Windows Contacts
when the user is not signed into windows live services (rather than having
to import them separately). I believe this was a feature of Windows Mail
(though I can't recall). It would also be nice to see the calendar button
return, linking directly to Vista's Windows Calendar.

Digital ID for Windows Live Mail?
Anyone managed to get Digital ID working properly on the new Windows Live
Mail beta on Windows Vista? I'm using Thawte's free personal e-mail
certificate. The Digital ID indicator appeared (means main is digitally
signed) in the Compose Mail window but the Digital ID seems to be missing
right after I click to send the mail. No more indicator.

Database location?
Where does WIndows Live Mail Desktop store its database files such as pst
files or the replacement for pst files? Is the storage location
configurable? Mine get rather large sometimes and I need to be able to set
where they are stored and backup or delete the files.

Draft folder and reading pane
How come mail in the draft folder cannot be viewed in the reading pane when
highlighted like it does in any other folder?

Which is the difference between synchronizing headers or not?

BUG: unread watched news or mail still remain in red
When i receive mails or news or feeds, that voices change them colour to
red.
But clicking on "make all as read" they remain in red instead of changing to
black.
After playing a little with WLM they chose to return to black.

Windows Vista upgrade problem?
It appears that on upgrading to Vista my installation of WLMD and
(subsequently WLM) does not work correctly. Uninstalling and re-installing
(as advised by WLMD support) does not solve problems of inability to empty
junk mail folder, delete some messages and recover database. WLM support
referred me to Vista who refer me back to WLM - not good, Microsoft. So much
for customer support?...

Bug: directory tree problem...
In the directory tree, if you have Search Folders Selected, you cannot use
the down arrow key to move on to the first of your email accounts. Instead,
it attempts to arrow down through the messages displayed in the Search
Folder. A very annoying situation.

Updating email message display when scrolling down????
Ok. I have run into this problem since these new builds. When i click shift
after selecting a message and start pressing down on my keyboard to scroll
through the new messages, it does not update to the message that is selected.
The email that is displayed is stuck on the piece of mail that was first
selected. Not very good for me when I am trying to scroll through to see
what emails...

my contacts have vanished with new build. I imported from messenger and they
come back but vanish when I close the program and then come back on. Any

Problem reciving mail with pop3
Hi!
I'm having a problem with reciving mails in windows live mail. I can send
messages but when I try to download them I get error number: 0x800CCC0F. I
have the same settings as in windows live mail desktop and there it worked
fine. Can anybody help me?...

Bug? Hot linked images
(Sorry for my english....)
Why hot-linked images from the web (copy-pasted) are attached to the
message? If you view the message on a web interface, the images on the
message are loaded from the link but at the bottom it is also
attached... it seems wierd...
If I change the settings on the way to send html e-mail, then the images
are sended within the source html and loaded from web,...

reading fonts
I'm using the new beta and wonder if my problem is unique or a bug or just
something I'm missing. Reading newsgroups, I want to set the font to be
larger. If I click "larger" or "largest" nothing changes. If I also click
"fixed" then the font changes to the larger one BUT when I move to the next
message, it's back to what is often really small text size. I've looked at

preview of multiple message selections
I prefer how in OE when you select multiple messages in the message list
(i.e. holding shift and pressing either the up or down arrow key) you get a
preview in the preview pane of the most recently added selection. However, in
WLMD this only works when selecting upward (shift + up arrow key) and doesn't
work when selecting downward.

Maintenance deletes emails?
Got an issue, I think at least, that mirrors the previous wlmd. When I go
to options -> advanced -> maintenance - > clean up now -> delete it ends up
deleting all of my email. Shouldn't it only delete newsgroup messages and
headers? With all the newsgroups I do, the database has climbed above 600mg
and wlm chugs along. When this happened in OE, I could do the above

Viewing newsgroup messages
In WLM, I have View>Sort by>Sent>Sort descending.
However, when I launch WLM, sometimes the message highlighted is halfway
down the list. I know that this could be the latest message sent but how
do I set it up so that the first message in the list is highlighted?

To line blank
When I enter an e-mail address that is in my contacts, after I select the
contact I cannot see the user's name. I see a semicolon after where the name
should be. If I enter an e-mail address that is not in my contact list I see
the e-mail address.

Possible to compose HTML emails
I am looking for the option to simply write your own HTML when composing an
email rather than using the WYSIWYG. At the moment I can't seem to find it,
if anyone knows where it is please let me know.
Or if you know they don't allow you to send HTML does anyone know why not?

Importing contacts in WLM
from Windows Mail has been a disaster. Only 37 of my almost 200 contacts
are imported. There is a provision in Windows Mail to exporting to a .csv
file, but no provision in Windows Live Mail to import from that file format.
Are there any solutions in sight. I'm posting here, because I couldn't
locate a separate newsgroup for Windows Live Mail. TIA. Jef
