Installation Problem
I am using updated Winodws XP2 now, I tried install this latest windows live
mail desktop but failed. I tried unplug my internet connection even not work
on my laptop. It always show nothing after ready for installation....

Feeds don't update
Hi,
is there a way to let feeds auto update each time i run WLM, instead of
switching to feed tab and click on Update feeds?

WLM not signing in
Does anyone know why my WLM Beta doesn't sign me in? In fact, all I can see
is a blue messagebox that says Windows Live Mail but there is no signing in
text at all, nor the vista icon spinning. Nothing. How can I reset my account
settings in order to uninstall, reinstall and enter my account info again
like I did the first time with the first time assistant? If I uninstall,
delete the re...

Which account imported?
On install, I was really hoping that WLM would import both of my Outlook
Express and Windows Live Mail Desktop folders. But upon installation, I'm
not sure which it imported, but the messages were really old. I went
through and had them imported manually. This resulted in many duplicate
messages, and I'm still not sure if all messages got imported. And then I

Does Windows Live Check For Viruses
I'm trying to see if I can set Windows live to automatically check my
incoming e-mail for viruses. Can anyone walk me through how to do that. I use
Windows Live OneCare for my virus protection....

Windows Messenger Live Notification
Hi, I notice when I recieve mail to my hotmail account while using Mail
Desktop, in Messenger it will say I have 1 new message etc.. When I get
e-mail from other e-mail accounts like gmail, I get no notification in
messenger, can that be changed so it reconises that there is mail in gmail
and hotmail so it displays you have two e-mails instead of one? This is my
only gripe with it so far...

1. after typing in a search, pressing the cursor arrow down should move us
into the messages (like the rest of vista) rather than having to tab twice.
2. we need to be able to export the address book! the 1000 limit via hotmail
isn't good enough. I need to have my address book on at least 2 computers and
I have something like 3354 email addresses in it.

After playing with WLM for a few days, I'm about ready to file some bug
reports. I see that people are still submitting bugs at

Mail and Contacts buttons no longer working
The Mail and Contact bars/buttons in the bottom left column stopped working
today. The Feeds, Newsgroups and Messenger buttons work. Also the little
down arrow above them all to change between compact and expanded view only
shows when hovered over the Feeds, Newsgroups or Messenger buttons but when
I move the move towards it to click it the arrow disappears. I can change

latest version and newsgroups
When I click on the newsgroup tab, which is now on the bottom... prefer the
top, it automatically goes to the group first on my list.. I don't check
that group often and don't want to... can I assign when I hit the newsgroup
tab what the first view I want to see ??

Windows Live Mail Beta - Issues
Here is a list of issues I have with the latest beta. I'm hoping I just
missed an option on at least some of these and someone will chime in and
tell me how to resolve it. Otherwise I hope the dev team takes note. Now, in
no particular order:
Lack of customizable toolbar. This seems to be a trend with MS lately. You

BUG: Maximising WLMail results in corrupted window
Just happened to me twice now. I minimised WLMail (latest build) in order
to work on something else and came back to it maybe 20 mins-ish later. When
I restored it to desktop, only the e-mail and reading pane columns were
visible (over the entire window). Not even the title bar and buttons were
visible.
Had to exit using Alt+F4

BUG: Draging email to storage files
Ok, if I drag a email message from a folder in an email account in the left
column let say an accounts Inbox to a sub folder in the Storage Folder
section
that is far enough down the left column to create a vertical scroll bar when
I pause on the folder I want to drop it in if I do not release my mouse
button fast enough the vertical scroll bar jumps back up so that the folder

Interface Problem
I Like the new WL Mail's GUI, but I found a little differences between the
computer open Aero with no open Aero.
My Vista can not open Aero, so at the top of the toolbar (new ,reply....),it
is a spherical Windows Live signs and "Windows Live Mail" characters, it
occupy a row space.
But in the web page:

Erhalte bei einigen Nachrichten folgendes:
"Nachricht konnte nicht angezeigt werden
Unerwarteter Fehler beim Anzeigen dieser Nachricht. Stellen Sie sicher, dass

WLMD passes out on fetching IMAP-folders
Dear WLMD-community,
Has anybody experienced WLMD quitting without any error message every time
you try to retrieve the folders from an imap-server? Just the screen "Send
error report" appears
A try with OE and the same configuration is successful...
Any ideas?

Cannot send mail : ERROR
I get an error and cannot send mail to recipients. I enter a recipient but
then see an error : You must specify some recipients for this message...

Lost message?
Ok, I posted a question about the location of the message database for WLM
and got an email that there had been a reply. I click the link in the email
and it opens the web viewer but my message is not there - neither the
original or the reply.
So, either a tip on how to fix it or repost the reply here would be helpful,

Question about new mail icon
I want to prevent the new mail icon in the task bar from appearing for
certain new mail that my message rules have identified. I tried setting up a
rule and had it mark these certain messages as read but when new mail comes
in and gets marked as read the new mail icon still appears. I don't want to
