Folder Pane - View all email and news folder
Some friends and I have been discussing what we miss in WLM vice OE. Here's
the item that got had the most interest;
Please provide (put back in) the option to see all the Email and Newsgroup
folders in one folder pane, just like in Outlook Express. It's a pain
(sorry :-) going back and forth between the two panes (Mail & Newsgroups). I
see other posts asking 'how to enable' this featu...

Icons customization
LMHi
Does anyone know where can i customize send/recieve buttons and others,just
as icon/no text only?
i've seen that i can do this in IE,why can't we do it in WLM?...

Update on Error Message
After about 2 weeks of waiting, the following error message still shows up:
Windows Live Mail desktop could not download the requested message. There is

keep out a folder from the search
Hello all,
i have a folder where i store all the mailinglist emails and i wouldn't that
the filter for the unread message count also these emails... is it possible?

7 suggestions for live mail
1. after typing in a search, pressing the cursor arrow down should move us
into the messages (like the rest of vista) rather than having to tab twice.
2. we need to be able to export the address book! the 1000 limit via hotmail
isn't good enough. I need to have my address book on at least 2 computers and
I have something like 3354 email addresses in it.

unread message
If I have live mail open and I look at an email at live hotmail or through
outlook, the live mail still shows that there is an unread message. To get
the unread message to change I have to manually mark it as unread and then
mark it as read.
I'm using Live mail version 12.0.1184

Problem to impor from Outlook 2000
Windows Live Mail, great product, easy to set up, to use etc.
One snag, I have downloaded into my two machines, one a laptop, one a
desktop, both running Windows XP, I cannot get it to import my folders from
Outlook 2000 WLM on neither of the two machines, anyone out there that can
help with this?

multiple mail account
Hello All,
today i started to try the live mail desktop but i'm confused by some
things...
- I have several account, and for each one LMD create inbox, draft, sent
item, junk e-mail and deleted items, can i merge them together and have only
1 inbox, 1 sent etc.?
- I have imported by email from outlook express and i have a "on this
computer" folder with all my old sent mail/inbox/etc...

Cannot copy/move to folder
When I attempt to copy/move a newsgroup message in order to save it, a
new window opens but does not show any of my folders.
I thought things may have changed in WLM so that I would have to create
a new "Saved" folder just for newsgroup messages. However, the option to
create a new folder whilst viewing newsgroups is greyed out.
Am I missing something or is there a known problem with this?...

Live Mail Format?
Microsoft Outlook stored everything, all emails, calendar, contacts, etc., in
one big binary file. Is this still the same in Windows Live Mail or do they
use a more useful and less fragile directory/text file system like Eudora or
Thunderbird? ...

Suggestion - Email Alert
It would be nice if there was an option to not be alerted when recieving new
SPAM mail. I use six email accounts and 6 out of 10 times I get alerts it's
spam.
This is the best email client I have ever used - Thanks!...

Unable to open email's
Well I am unable to open any kind of email that I get, I always get this
error: "There was an error opening this message an error had occurred".
Got any idea what is this all about? (using WLM under Windows Vista with a
Gmail account)

Importing from OE6
Does anyone here know specifically how to import all my saved e-mails in OE6
into WLM? I've tried a few things and none have worked so far. I will
appreciate any help with this question, because I do not want to lose any
saved e-mails after installing WLM.

I have a HUGE problem
I have been using WLMd for a while now and this morning strange things
happened to my computer. It has restored itself to 12th March There are no
more restore points between then and now. Amongst other things WLMd does not
exist, no Reg entry no program files nothing.
OE has come back and it has my mail up to 12 March however I MUST have my
other mail it is really important. Where can I...

Viewing messaage with attachements and links without warnings
This is related to the IE interface of Live Hotmail, if this is the
wrong group someone let me know.
Is there a way to view messaages in Live Hotmail(or whatever they call
it now) with attachements and links without having said items disabled
for security reasons forcing me to click on something that says Allow
Links and Allow Attachements?

cannot delete attachments
After inadvertently added an unwanted attachment to my email. I
right-clicked the item and expected to see a popup menu giving me the
option to delete... but no right-click menu appeared!

Spell checker doesn't ignore URLs
Does anyone else find it annoying that the spell checker
has no option to ignore URLs?
Also, I have selected "ignore UPPERCASE" but it still flags
acronyms like WLMD until I add them to the custom dictionary.

Where is the option to return to inbox after deleting a message

Switching to RSS Pane Crashes WLM
For the first couple of days all was well. But lately switching to the RSS
pane in WLM causes the program to hang forever. It never unfreezes and must
be force quit.
Anyone else having a similar issue?...
