Multiple folders (again) BUG!
I've noticed a serious flaw in the multiple folders system, and yet
another reason why this should be optional.
Create a message, save it as a draft. Now open it again, and decide
that you want to send it via another email address. Save it again.
Now look for it. Where is it? Still in the original Drafts folder!

Bugs/Requests in WLM 1184 (mostly newsgroup use)
1. (Older) headers, and messages, disappearing. After using WLM for some
time, older headers and messages disappear from WLM. These headers and
messages are still on the server (I check on my 2nd PC using Outlook
Express) and can be re-downloaded by resetting the local properties, but
after a few hours, or days, the headers and messages disappear again. (I
have not chosen to purge newsgroup m...

WLM Message Storage - Virus Scanning Performance
Has anyone else noticed that the new message storage set-up in WLM is adding
significantly to the time it is taking for virus scans? Virus scanning
seems to be taking much longer than it ever seemed to take in the past. I
suspected WLM might be the cause but as I was running One Care I wasn't sure
if WLM or One Care was the cause.
I decided to remove One Care and give Nod 32 a try. N...

Outlook Express Contact Folders
In OE, I could go into the Adress Book and create different folders in my
Contact area. I might have a folder for "Golfing Buddies" and another for
"Work Buddies". I could add different contacts into each folder and they
would remain separated. In WLMail I don't see where I can keep a separate
folder for each group. When I click "New Message" and then to "To" button,
all my contacts ...

How do I stop contact updates?
All my contacts say "Your request for contact updates is pending".
I've searched everywhere to stop this. "Help" points me to remove the tick
on each individuals contact.... ie. the box is ticked next to the text that
says "subscribe to updates for this contact. Status: Pending....." The
problem is the tick/box is greyed out so I can't remove it. I've spent hours
sorting my contacts out. ...

On installing the WLMD new version the icon on the down-right bar

Opening folders
A bit of an annoyance that I noticed:
I have many email accounts, each with their own set of folders, but I also
keep a separate set of folders for archiving. If I scroll down the folder
list to open a folder, and I have a folder that is higher up in the list
open, the folder list jumps back up to my open folder. This became quite
frustrating at one point when I was moving several thi...

Contact import problem
Vista Home Premium, and using Windows Mail for several weeks now without
difficulty. As WM appears on the verge of being abandoned by MS in favour of
WLM I decided to make the switch. But when I import the contacts only about
one third of them come into WLM. These were all originally individually
entered into Windows Contacts, not previously imported from any other
source, so there's no ...

Bug with WL Mail and WL Messenger
When we use Windows Live Mail (12.0.1184) and we receive a new e-mail, in
Windows Live Messenger the number of new mails (between brackets, next to the
"wrap" icon) remains the same after we read the mail. We have to open Windows

Bugs, issues and possible improvements in WLM (long post)
This is a list I've compiled with some problems I've have with WLM in the
past days and some possible improvements I've thought of.
General bugs:
- When clicking in the "Signatures" tab (inside "Tools"/"Options" dialog),
the application just crashes, so I can't choose any signature to be
appended to my messages.
- I could successfully import a couple of accounts (IAF files export...

Windows Live Mail 12.0.1184 - Sent Mail is Marked Unread - IMAP Accounts
I have the above version of Live Mail desktop and two IMAP Accounts. When
the mail is sent, then it is marked as "unread" (bolded) in the sent folder.
The only way that I have figured out how to "unbold" is to select the
messages individually or as a group and then mark them as read.
Is this the right action when a message is sent with an IMAP account that it
will be marked as unread i...

Drag-and-drop email from inbox to local storage folder problem
I have had pretty good luck with WLM, but this version has a really annoying

Here’s the problem…

It would be wonderful if it could just startup and sign in to my accounts as

A couple of suggestions
I will start off with the smallest, tiniest thing that isn't really a problem
at all but just something that I noticed: the installer, in Windows Vista,
gets its edges cut off just a tad. I've seen a similar thing happen to other
programs, and my assumption is that it's because of the
transparencies/shadows that are messing with how window sizes/border
positions are interpreted.
