POP Server Connecting Problem after install the latest verion
* This look very similar to one of the other user's problem.
After upgrading from the previous beta of WL Mail Desktop 2 of my email
accounts cannot be contacted.
Server:
POP3: pop.ckwbgroup.com
SMTP: smtp.ckwbgroup.com
OS: Window XP Professional SP2.
The error message obtain was as below...

Outbox for windows live mail
Hello can someone please tell me how i can find msgs sitting in my outbox
even though there is no folder for outbox,this is because when i bring up
windows live mail i get a msg saying there is one or more msgs sitting in my
outbox do not have a valid account specified....

"Receiving Mail" message not correct.
When checking for new mail the status message says ..."Checking Mail", then
"Receiving Mail", then "No new messages".
I realize that this is a minor point, but it should not say "Receiving Mail"
when it clearly isn't. Perhaps it should say "Synchronizing Folders"?

Serious Issue
When in mail, I had a 3MB attachment from a friend downloading (spinning
circle in Vista) from Live Hotmail.
I thought ok, I'll hop over and check newsgroups while I'm waiting...
As soon as I did that the mail activity download died on my broadband
gadget.
So I switched back to mail, and download started again...
This is silly - why should going to look at my newsgroup stuff affect...

Mail Rule
I would like to create following rule:
Where the from line contains "email@address" (just an example)
Move it to the specified folder
I would like to move the messages to specified folder: "Sent Items", but the
OK button remains grayed out, so I cannot select this folder to have the
messages moved to, other folders would be possible. Reason for this need:

Sent Messages in the same folder
I think that keeping sent messages together with incoming messages is not
such a bad idea. Just try using gmail and judge for yourself.
Outlook can do that with one notable exception of messages in Inbox, which
makes it much less useful as it requires moving messages before replying to
them.
I hope that you would consider having an option of keeping replied and
forwarded messages in ...

Can't open PDF attachments
WLM has the same bug as WM in that PDF attachments can't be opened
within the mail client. Other attachment types (DOC, etc) open fine,
and PDFs will open externally.

Running slower since the update.....
My system is running a lot slower since I updated the WLM Beta. I am using
1184 currently. When I close WLM, then my system returns to normal.
I am running Windows XP Professional, an AMD Athlon 64+ 3000 with 1gb of ram.
Anyone else having this problem?????

uninstalled Live Mail Beta, can't see contacts in Windows Mail
I tried out Live Mail and decided it is not for me at this time. I
uninstalled to go back to using Windows Mail. All my messages are OK, but my
contacts are not visible. The data is somewhere since I can check recipient
names and see their contact cards, but I can't see the list of contacts. Any
idea how to restore that view?

WLM installation on Vista Ultimate 64
Tried installing this on Vista Ultimate 64 but it gets no further than saying
it is preparing my computer for the installation and then just exits.

forwarding attachments
I reeive numerous photo attachments which i want to forward to other parties.
but I always receive a failed notice, and have to revert to my gmail account
which forward them without a problem.
What is my problem with live mail? any help will be greatly apreciated

WLM crashed in newsgroups
Not sure what happened exactly but WLM froze up while I was working in
newsgroups and I had to kill it after a long while.
When I reopened it I could use mail without any problem, but whenever I
tried to access newsgroups it froze up again. Exported messages and
accounts, then uninstalled WLM reverting to WM.

Interoperability
I think it is reasonable to expect export into Windows Mail from WLM.
Right now we are forced to use IMAP folders to work around that problem. ...

Send/Receive button unresponsive...
Previously I had a POP account as my default for mail. Now I have only
hotmail ones enabled.
I had been used to pressing to get new mail, but the button now seems
unresponsive at times. Is this normal when there are only hotmail accounts?

Importing Data from Outlook Express
It would be nice to be able to Import all my Outlook Expres data, Contacts
Emails sent received etc In one go.
Also some was to enlarge the icons on the top Send and receive etc.

HELP:my account can't send mail with WLM
Hi,
Who can help me about this problem?
The account which seems ill is about a POP3 mailbox and it cannot send
mail but can receive while other mail accounts work well.
When sending mail from the account the WLM tells a error message as:
An unknown error has occurred. Protocol: SMTP, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No,

Contacts Usability
Microsoft invented new Windows Contacts in Vista... and immediately
abandoned the concept in WLM.
What's worth users have 2 sources of contacts now. Vista contacts are
indexed by search engine, but are obsolete. WLM contacts are not indexed,
but if user uses WLM often, those are the contacts he or she want's to find.
Vista contacts application is more in the way, then it is needed. ...

One inbox etc - Attn MS
Would it be possible in future releases to have all pop email directed to a
single inbox? Likewise, to have a single outbox / sent items etc?
I'm not too fussed about Hotmail being seperate, but I use a few pop
accounts & do not want numerous of the above dirs & it will stop me using
WLM in future.
