"Leave a copy of messages on server" reverting
Ok, this is just plain weird. It is sort of the reverse of the problem of
downloading the same messages over and over again.
Under certain circumstances, if there is a protocol error when checking the
POP inbox, the "Leave a copy of messages on server" setting is reverting to
the default, i.e., unchecked!

Can't receive attachments from Yahoo
Through Apr 27 I could open attachments of all types in OE from Yahoo email
subscribers to my bellsouth.net address. Starting Monday I could not, and
this is true for both of my conputers as well as a next door friend who has
bellsouth.net email service. The problem quickly isolates to OE (even though
it involves at least 3 different computers and two different bellsouth

Restoring Address Book
My computer crashed unexpectantly, although I did manage to make a complete
backup from the old hard drive (c:/).
I am now restoring my files on my new hard drive and cannot seem to find
where all of my contacts would have of been stored? Am I able to restore
these at all, if I dont have a csv copy of them?

unable to view html in messages
I can not view html in emails, the view-messages in html is greyed out.
I have changed it in tools-options-read and unchecked view only as text.
Is this a registry problem.
I am using a new install of XPPro with SP2 and outlook express 6...

Yet Another OE locks up request for help!!
why is this so hard? I've searched a zillion oe sites, and usenet
msg's. I can't seem to find any relevant information.
I'm running office 2000 (with outlook) along with ms exchange. (I've
tried on win2k & xp)

Opening attachments
It's been so long since this question has been asked, that I forget the

DBX files
I have recently had to do a complete reinstall on my computer. Prior to
doing this I copied the DBX files on to CD. Could anyone tell me how I can
reinstall these dbx files so that I can read them with my reinstalled
version of outlook express.

Printed Email Fonts Too Small
When I print an email, it comes out in a size 6 font if that much. How can I

Error When Sending
I keep getting an error message when trying to send mail. It stopped for a
while this morning, and now it's returned. It happens for a test message
that has no attachment and only one word in the message and for a brief
message with an attachment. The error has two parts:

Looking for Newsgroup Spam Eliminator
I enjoy reading some newsgroups, like at.home.repair. However, they
frequently get spammed by some perverts.

Error when trying to email from web page
When trying to email from a web page I am presented with a dialogue stating:
"Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not
properly installed". When I click OK, circa 60 web pages are generated
stating "Action Cancelled".

File attachments
When I try to open an attachment to an e-mail, I get an error message
telling me that there is no File Type associated with this file and I should
set one in Folders Options.
If I save the attachment to the Desktop and click it, it opens.
I ran msimn/reg option and rewrote the file association line in the EML
section of File Types to no avail.
How can I get OE6 to recognize files?

Email download
When I am d/l messages from the server progress frequently stops and then
restarts after waiting for up to one minute. I do not loose any mail.
