Garamond Font is wrong in email
When I write or receive an email in standard Garamond font it is italicized
in my sent items or inbox, respectively, even though the sender or I do not
choose italics. This seems to have been the case since I downloaded IE7.
Also, This does not happen in my default Arial font.
PS, if I bold or underline the text it straightens up to the correct,
unitalicized font.
Any ideas?...

Error 10061, 0x800ccc0e, bug?
Port 110 is blocked after changing account. Reboot makes port 110 open, but
only for the first user. This started to happen a month ago.
Is there any solution? Rebooting it not!...

OE .bak files appeared in trash
This new Dell with WinXP Pro/IE6/OE6 is giving me fits {whereas my older
Dell with Win2000/IE6/OE6 never misses a beat}.
Today, I noticed trash in my Desktop Trash Folder. I looked, and it
contained several .bak files from OE6 - folders.bak, offline bak,
Pop3uidl.bak and 8 various Newsgroup .bak files. To my knowledge, I never
deleted any of these {the delete dates were two days ago}....

sending email
when sending email, I get a blue box pop up error message and the yellow
yeild sign. But there is no error message in the box. The email is sent but
remains in the outbox and is not sent to my sent folder. Help...

OE6.00.2800 -- no "foreign" fonts in Contacts panel?
I have a number of OE Contact entries that show only as "?? ?????? ????" or
"????" in the OE Contacts *panel*, but that show up in correct "foreign"
(non-English) character set everywhere else in OE. This includes the
displays if I check the individual contact's Properties in the Contacts as
well as To: and From: fields in messages. I checked all resources I could
think to check and I find ...

Recover Deleted Messages
I accidently clicked "Empty Deleted Items" folder. Is there a way to recover

Starting Word instead of OE
Lately, when I click on an email address on a webpage, instead of
opening Outlook Express, my default email program, I get a popup that
says "Starting Word as your ....". How do I make it go back to starting
OE not Word?

Cannot Send Attachments
I have started up my new computer, transferred all of my data from the old
one and just discovered that I cannot send mail with attachments. I am using
XP Pro as opposed to XP Home before, but still OE6. Have tried various
suggestions in the posts with no luck; Norton is set to NOT scan outgoing
email, tried deleting and replacing Outbox .dbx file, created a new identity
on OE with the...

2 (almost) identical dbx files
I was checking my dbx folders and found that I have two entries for
microsoft.public.windows.internetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress.dbx. The second
emtry is the same EXCEPT it has a (1) just before the .dbx extension
microsoft.public.windows.internetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress(1).dbx. All the
other .dbx files look normal.
Example;

Font Size
Can't seem to change the size of fonts when creating mail. Everything else
ok, italics underline, color, font type, and bold. But the size just goes
back to 12

Outlook Database size
Hello All,
I have a client that has a huge Outlook Express database, and the sent items
is not seen at all. I've tried to create a account with Microsoft Outlook,
but the sent items didn't show up there either. Is there anything else I can
try to see these messages?

Router question
At the risk of sounding like an inexperienced idiot, here goes:
I have two computers and one cable modem and multi-port router.
I've never considered connecting both computers to the router at the same
time.

OE6 receives some e-mails then freezes
I use WinXP SP2 with a 735 MHZ processor and 368 MB RAM and my copy of
Outlook Express 6 can send all my e-mails, but receives only some of my
e-mails but then just freezes. The animation of the receiving arrow still
moves but it's like the connection goes dead.
I use AVG 7.5 for anti virus but I have the AVG e-mail scanner disabled.
